..not at this stage of his career.. too much risk.. and still not enough reward. He wants nothing to do with what a Hatton fight would entail.. it'd take a fully focused Maywether over a full 12rds, and I don't think Floyd is willing to work that hard for that long anymore.

So mark my words, this fight will never happen, but Hatton fans will continue to call for it, as a way to boost Hatton in the view of the general public.

The Jr Welter divison is pretty weak right now, so I'm not sure what's out there for Ricky if he wants big names.. he either has to move up again, which I don't think he wants to do, or lure in top lightweights like Campbell, either of the J. Diaz's, or the best fight I can see him making next against Cassamayor.

I don't think Cassamayor is still prime anymore, but it'd be a good/great fight.

As far as his division? All that's left is Malinaggi (yawn), or Vivivan Harris or Junior Witter.

He'd get no credit for beating Malinaggi or Harris, but a fight with Witter could be huge in the UK. I can see that being his next fight, as the dollars would make huge sense.

I'm just not sure the US would give two rips.

at this point, mayweather really has no reason to. he could make more money fighting cotto or of course, a rematch with DLH. now, if hatton can go back up to welterweight and beat cotto and/or the winner of the margo-williams fight, then he'll be in a much better position to call mayweather out.

of course this fight will never happen. why is because the 2 fighters in the same ring that bring more boredom to boxing as 2 Pro Curling sportstars do.

what a great fight that would be to watch in one corner you have a guy that throws around 15 punch's a round and runs for mostly 12 rounds without really causing any excitement.

and the other fighter fights like Steve Austin does at wrestle mania and hits more fighters in the nuts than anyone has ever seen, a real miny John Ruiz type guy.

This fight if it were to happen would be just like watching paint dry. well id probably prefer to watch paint dry.

I love the Hitman but Floyd is too big. Hatton really struggled with Collazo at 147 and things would be worse with Mayweather. But at 140, h's the man and meaningful fights await with the likes of Paulie Malignaggi, Junior Witter and Kendall Holt. Although, I do think eventually he'll have to go to 147. And he'll get some great fights there when the time is right for Hatton to jump up again. See Miguel Cotto et al.

Hatton and Mayweather could happen, but not anytime soon. Don't expect to see it with both guys being undefeated.
Sadly, boxing just doesn't work that way.
Matches that us fans actually want to see take forever to happen, and sometimes don't happen at all.

Hatton is naturally bigger man than Floyd, and stronger.

It won't happen because Floyd won't let it happen. You can bet he wants nothing to do with Hatton and his style. You think he wants to be bullyed around the ring for 12 rds.. even if he "did" win.. he doesn't want to chance that.

He walks around heavier, but he is shorter and PBF can deal with 147 or 154. Hatton can not.

im atool well if thats the case so be it. but doesnt get over the fact the hattons style is ****. so is PBF's so i dont really care that Hatton beat Zoo at the end of the day but what i do care about is our sport surviving against such up and coming exciting sports like MMA and UFC etc.

and with fights like this you can see why me a vivid boxing fan since the 80's is worried.

so Boro you can call me a tool but by me saying Hatton's style and PBF' and Spinks and Taylors' styles and wanting big money for useless boring fights doesnt worry you as a fan you dont know the game aswell as i thought.

id expect more from you its not about who beat Kostya Tszyu or who beat Marvin Hagler its about guys that actually bring it like those guys do so we as fans get our ****ing money's worth.
