Pacquiao is too fast to allow himself to get clinched like that. Hopkins couldn't do it to Calzaghe and Taylor. Why? Because of their speed. It's easy to clinch a slow fighter or a fighter who always falls forward, like Margo or Hatton, but a guy who's on his toes and in and out and throwing bombs from all angles? It's hard to clinch a guy like that. Ask Hatton, whose whole game is about fighting out of the clinch. Pac landed like 60% of his shots.

There had been talk about Manny-Floyd before. Before Pacquiao annihilated Hatton, Mayweather could've waited a day and fight Pacquiao in a few months instead he choose to fight a light weight claiming he's the p4p number 2 and he's a tune up bout.

Since Pacquiao can't fight Mayweather he fought Cotto instead, he demolished Cotto and the Mayweather's ACCUSED him of using drugs with the basis of "Pacquiao is winning, so err.. must be on PEDs".

Pac-May started the negotiations, May wanted a blood testing. Pac said sure as long as it's required by the NSAC, but May wanted a THIRD party meaning someone out of the commission to take their testing results. Pac even said yes to that as long as there is 30 day window offering UNLIMITED urine testing during that period (meaning they can practically test him everyday for all he cares) and blood test after the fight. May said no offering 7 days, Pac said no offering 24, and May said 14. Both fighters wouldn't budge and Pacquiao is running out of time due to the election back at his home. He fought Clottey instead.

Negotiation 2
Pacquiao agreed to the 14 days just make the fight happen. Mayweather said he changed his mind and he doesn't want any cut off date. Pacquiao agreed to that as well, Mayweather lost his urged and fought his baby momma instead. :deal

 

Seriously if Mayweather tries to overpower Pacquiao during a clinch, Mayweather would be pushed back just like when Hatton tried to clinch and push Pacquiao back.

And what Mosley remembered wasnt his age he simply remembered he makes money whenever floyd fights and he stopped trying and all he did for the rest of the fight was touch gloves with Floyd.

I disagree. I believe Mayweather will need to throw combination's, not necessarily 4-5 consecutive shots though...say 2-3 shots, then step back and throw another 2-3 shots. We've seen from Pacquiao before that, when he gets hit...he likes to attack his opponent straight away and hit them back with more. If Mayweather can adopt this strategy, at some point he could dishearten Pacquiao.

Mayweather was more offensive against Mosley than he has been for years, throwing more combination's aswell. He'll have to find the right mix if he steps in with Pacquiao.
