He is the fighter of the decade but his championships are also watered down.

You can't deny the fact that belts are tossed around like nothing these days ..

except pac is the only one with "watered down" belts in 8 divs.

id like to see pedjr win "watered down " belts in his 6th and 7th, nvm 8th.

"watered dwon" belt to be won by double-damaged goods cotto is definitely a candidate.

    or prolly an injured martinez.

    what do you think?

So does and has been Hopkins all through his 40's when matched against plodders and fighters without much speed.

When Hopkins has faced speed all of a sudden his skillset has'nt been able to compensate, losing to such fighters as Taylor, Calzaghe, and Dawson, all fighters faster than he was.

Hopkins lost to speed, must have just been a coincidence.

Maidana is just another Kelly Pavlik, actually an easier matchup for Mayweather than Pavlik was for Hopkins. Pavlik at least had a strong jab that Maidana does'nt consistently use.

Just like Pavlik, Maidana is a one dimensional come foward plodder with not much handspeed.
To the uneducated eye, Mayweather will seem better than ever.
Headline from the non-boxing media scribe will read, "Is Mayweather getting better with age?"

Mayweather and Hopkins are two different fighters. Mayweather is actually a very fast fighter himself. You can't beat Floyd with speed.

How are we supposed to find out he cant be beaten with speed when he's gone out of his way not to face a fighter on his speed level???

It's not the belts that are important. It's the level of competition. Victor Ortiz was a champion - is beating him a notable accomplishment? No
