Floyd will stop Marquez, and my opinion on why Floyd-Dapidran will not happen!

Not sure if only Pacfans are saying Floyd cheated.

Nallage, you say that Floyd's track record in making weight is second to none; yet, you say he has a hard time making weight at age 32. I think if Oscar can make weight being old as he is, Floyd can make weight being the best as he is especially with the fight delayed, how hard he trains, and being able to rehydrate after weigh in. Oscar didn't rehydrate properly after weigh in.

Why I think it's questionable (I don't think he cheats or he is a cheater except for his elbows inside which I must say is a great move but otherwise illegal.
1. Floyd himself has stated he's been in the gym during his layoff with light training and sparring. (Google, Youtube it)
2. The fight was delayed
3. It is uncharacteristic of Floyd to not make weight yesterday.
4. Floyd trains hard and I'm sure he trains harder to make weight

BUT here's why I think it's unfair to call him a cheater

1. I've never seen him cheat in his career. The illegal elbows I'll dismiss because I personally like to use my elbows to create space for a quick right hook inside.
2. He's always made weight thus far
3. I highly doubt Money May will give up 600k for 2 pounds when he can rehydrate after weigh in. 600k is a fcking Royce paid in full for Money.


So I personally don't think he cheated but it could be seen as questionable for many, and you have to respect that. I doubt Floyd using this 2 pound overhyped commotion as leverage for Pacquiao. The chances of Floyd fighting Pacquiao are heavily weighed on share negotiations. Both have their egos and both want the lion share; with 50-50 out the window, it is difficult to negotiate what could be the biggest fight in recent boxing history.

I see Floyd being alittle tentative at first. The first two rounds will be the ''feel-out'' rounds. Marquez will definitely be the aggressor which will lead to many of Floyd's signature shoulder-roll, counter-rights up against the ropes. In favor of Marquez, I do hope the ref lets them fight inside with minimal holding. Depending on how much Nacho studied Floyd, Marquez will probably eat a lot of Floyd's lead rights especially after the ref breaks the two up inbetween holds. I honestly see Floyd taking the fight slow in the early rounds, let Marquez be the aggressor and tire himself out, and go to work with speed (check hooks, lead rights, body shots) in the later rounds.

This is all prediction. Marquez is obviously Floyd's hardest opponent and vice versa. I can't fking wait.

Floyd could have gotten to 144 sure...but at what cost? How would he have felt? Very smart move, dirty or not, on Floyd's behalf....to leave himself wiggle room on the contract.

 

Difference is,Cotto will make 145. Thats why people are annoyed with Floyd.
