That's for sure. That number has some magic. And Floyd is great businessman. He would say now - two more fights and I'm done. Next September he'd say - I'm retiring, I'm 38 and it's enough. But if you pay me guaranteed $50 millions (not 32 as now), I'm ready to make history. Floyd will retire not earlier than 2016.
****, at 38 years old and in his 19th year as a pro, I'd be fine with him cherry picking his last 2 opponents
knowing Floyd, his 50th and final opponent will be probably Malignaggi.. wait, maybe i'm giving him too much credit maybe someone like Rod Salka would be more realistic
plenty of fighters take easy fights as farewell fights. Why can't Floyd if he wanted to at 39? (assuming he fought his 50th fight).
he's not like ¨plenty of fighters¨ he's TBE isn't he? :think it's natural we expect more from him His resume ain't TBE worthy yet, so unless he beats GGG and Ward in his next two matches, fighting a scrub in his farewell match would be very underwhelming and not TBE-worthy
He has 2 fights left. I think both at WW is a lock. Probably 2 from Khan, Brook, Pac, Garcia. In an ideal world he fights winner of Brook v Khan in May and then Pac in September. Completely unifying the division.
I type and troll with that TBE stuff all the time, but we all know he isn't the best fighter ever. I expect more out of Floyd than normal fighters though, but it's getting close to the point where we have to keep things in perspective
