What could happen if the pituitary gland atrophied? One probable effect is that luteinizing hormone production would be depleted. LH goes to the testicles and causes testosterone production.

If you’re in your late thirties and have been boxing since a child, you might have an atrophied pituitary. The pituitary produces LH. LH causes testosterone production.

What finding would this cause? Low T/E ratio.

No comment about Floyd. I don’t think it was a great decade for boxing. The last couple years were pretty good and I hope the momentum carries into 2020. Lots of good young boxers in the game. I don’t see any ATGs on the horizon but who knows.

Hopefully, in the current decade, the best guys will fight the best guys in their division. I’m cool with division hopping but would rather see a guy unify before hopping around. I also hate catch weights unless a guy has already unified and is looking to make a big payday or make history. Lastly, I hope they crack down hard on PEDs. This probably isn’t going to happen but I suspect PED usage is more common than most casual fans suspect. They testing organizations should be independent and all tests should be random and unannounced. Boxing is dangerous enough even without doping. Sorry to derail thread. 1... Explain to me how the NSAC "cleared" Floyd from wrong doing on the IV scandal. He was caught in his own home receiving an illegal excessive 750 ml of saline in his own home. The NSAC at first on hearing this said that was illegal as he needed a TUE & the saline can only be administered under medical supervision in a medical facility .Subsequently when they realised what the fall out would be & who was involved would be they back tracked. Then they suddenly issued the statement " Mr Mayweather did nothing wrong we will not be investigating" & issued Floyd a retroactive TUE for the saline THREE weeks after he was caught. Strange huh ????
BUT on the night of the fight Pacquaio was denied his previously promised totally LEGAL Toradol shot ,needed because of his torn rotator cuff injury,
claiming he hadnt ticked the right box in the form claiming injury.l
When did Floyd apply for the 750 ml of saline claiming he was severely dehydrated ?? He didnt ever claim only to say "My urine was dark errr very dark" Ask any doctor or nurse what condition he would have to be in to need 750 ml saline drip for dehydration & they'll tell you He'd be in ICU while they fought to save his kidneys

The fact is that PBF stated he was dehydrated and needed an IV with a vitamin infusion to produce a urine sample. He was cleared of any wrong doing by USADA and NSAC both writing detailed accounts of what took place. He was cleared that's all that matters. Pac didn't complain neither did Arum because they knew it was no big deal. Like I have said many times before no PED will give you any type of benefit taken a day before the fight but you have never bothered to even respond to that. PBF had taken blood and urine test before this and after the fight. So all you're left with is speculation the case is closed.

BTW Pac is a ****ing idiot it's his fault for checking the wrong box not anyone else. His shoulder was fine he threw punches with both hands all night long. A guy with a badly hurt shoulder would couldn't do that. A guy with a badly hurt shoulder will pull out of a fight of that magnitude and postpone it. He could have if he was so badly hurt but didn't so no excuses. He got schooled, his shoulder had nothing to do with having ranged controlled on him and distance being dictated on his ass.
