Yes, but Doniare was 100% sure he would win, hence the victory.

The point is, if a guy goes into a fight believing strongly or even slightly that he will be defeated, dont expect him to put up a good fight.

And also, if you really want to talk about fighters fighting guys they know they can beat, Pac has been doing that from 2009 - present. Freddie Roach has even said this himself. :deal

There's no such thing as being 100% sure you can beat anyone. In boxing, there's always the chance of something unusual happening. A guy can just get caught once and have his night ended. Hell, even a cut or other injury can lose a fight for someone. So, your theory is bull**** obviously.

He is definitely overly keen to hold on to his '0' though, no doubt about that. He's not even a boxer anymore in my eyes. Just keeping himself in half decent shape to box once a year in fights that amount to little more than exhibitions. It's incredibly annoying how you fanboys keep harping on about Floyd and Manny like they're the only thing in boxing. Neither of them are very relevant anymore, if you ask me. Manny hasn't had a meaningful, challenging fight since 09, and yes, there were better challenges out for there for him than what he took on. Floyd has fought only twice in almost 4 years, both pointless money making matchups. People need to wake up and realise these two don't matter half as much as they think anymore.

a lot of this has to do with the promoters, well most of it actually.bob arum pretty much puppets manny and wants to make as much money as he can on pac before the big fight which we will see just not till their past their primes and there is no more money to be made off of them.why doesnt manny call floyd out, after his fights he just says i will fight who ever my promoters put me up against, what b.s.now one thing is for sure mayweather has much more to lose in a fight against manny than manny has to lose.why?because people will watch pacman fight if he had 20 losses on his record, its the way he fights that draws poeple.mayweather on the other hand is not nearly as entertaining and his draw is who can solve the rubiks cube of floyds defense and take away his 0,once thats done mayweather just doesnt bring that much to the table.

Im not gonna talk about Pac or Floyd, but the people that are criticizing Roach for saying he'd never has his fighter fight a guy he doesn't think he can beat, thats just being a good trainer and I don't like Roach but him and a lot of trainers tend to have a father son relationship with some of there fighters and what trainer that actually cares about there fighter would put them up against someone they think they'd lose to? this doesn't have to do with Pac or Floyd just saying any decent trainer wouldn't put there fighter up against someone they think would destroy them. Garcia's a good example his younger brother Mickey's a top prospect he was asked about Gamboa and such he said hey Mickey's only 22(at the time he's 23 now) he needs more time I dont think those were his exact words but basically later down the road when he's ready for that kind of fight is basically what I figure he meant.

Floyd won't fight you unless he's 100% sure he can beat you: correct.

But that's only part of his clever game. Once he picks a fighter he's sure he can beat, he tries to make it look like he's afraid of him. For example: Shane Mosley. First Floyd made it looked like he wanted to duck him. All the fans here on ESB then started threads saying Floyd was afraid of Shane... and then Floyd took the fight. He fooled everyone and looked good against a shot fighter.

He's doing the same with Pacman. He knows he can't lose. But Freddie Roach also knows Pacman can't win, and will do anything he can to avoid this fight.

Floyd and his team are 100% sure he can't beat Pacquiao.

Floyd Jr: "I'm on vacation." "I have no urge."

Floyd Sr: "I fear for my son's life." "My son will NEVER fight Pacquiao."

don't think the percentage is 100%, but it does seem that this is close to floyd's mentality. he's so proud of his "0" that he seems really reluctant to risk it (recall his first 'retirement' once bigger guys like cotto and margo were knocking at the door for his 147 title). i'm not a fan of either him or pac, but it's hard to argue this point (or the point that there's probably a fair chance that pac, like many others, is on something)
