Leading up to this showdown. I have come to the conclusion that Floyd is basically done as a dominant fighter. Its an unproven fact right now and will fall on many deaf ears. But his recent ring cherry picked opponents hide the fact that Floyds magical gifts he displayed in the Corralles and Gatti fights are long gone.

His last 5 fights have been one sided affairs no doubt but all but 1 are out of boxing now and coming off additional defeats after floyd (Hatton, Oscar, Baldo and SHane) That leave Marquez who was up nearly 3 weight classes to fight Floyd and other than Hatton he couldnt stop any of them. Hatton has proven with Collazo rocking him around and Pacman putting him to complete sleep as nothing more than an over ballyhooed euro with no chin or defence)

Now up comes a flawed defensive fighter but one who will pressure, take 2 punches to land 1 and has above avg hand speed and way above avg power. Plus He is a 24 yr old who is at his ideal weight. Floyd fought at 130 when he was 24. This factor alones means Ortiz is substantially larger and most likely stronger than Floyd. This wasnt the case in his last fights as he fought guys who had travelled up in weight in a fashion much like Floyd (Oscar, Shane, JMM, Zab were all light weights and jr lightweights starting out). Ortiz is the first guy he has fought in which he started at 140lb fighter and grew into 147.

Floyd struggled with Corley(southpaw) and struggled vs JLC (pressure fighter) doesnt Ortiz posses both of these traits?

This is a dangerous spot for Floyd..His skills are eroded that is not debateable..He is absolutely no longer as explosive as he once was and lacks the power to dent anyone at this weight not name Hatton. There is a great chance for Floyds performance to reflect a substantial dip in speed/reflex and for Ortiz who is coming in at an age and confidence level where it is quite possible a jump up in skill set is near certain.

In the end I think Victor beats him in a close decsion by throwing way more punches while being the aggressor and with Floyd being very inactive/defensive. similar to how Jermaine Taylor(who is not in Victors class) handled BHOP.

Too many things are pointing me to see an Ortiz ticket cashing come Sept 17

Ortiz has a shot for the first 3-4 rounds, then floyd will dominate the **** out of him.

Void is void..................he is afraid of Pac. If Pac were to show up at ringside, Void would faint, could get counted out..................
