What we have learnt this weekend is that there are a few overhyped fighters out there including Matthyse and Canelo (not taking anything away from the sheer brilliance of Floyd or Garcias performances this weekend). Into the above bracket you woul have to put GGG. I know he walked theough Matthew Macklin but so what. Macklin is nothing special by any stretch of the imagination. It is completely unreasonable to expect Floy to fight GGG because they are in completely different weight classes but even if they did fight there is absolutely no doubt in my mind that Floyd would do exactly the same to GGG as he did to Canelo tonight. Floyd is literally unbeatable right now. The only possible solution to the problem would be the same Duran and same fight plan that Duran used to beat Buchanan back in 72 or 73 or whenever it was. Apart from that i dont see anyone present or past that could touch him
Golovkin has an excellent amateur background, that means he can adapt against any styles. He beat the **** out of cubans (they are pretty similar with Floyd's defensive style). He has a smart pressure. GGG would broke his shoulders and arms with his powerful punches. Gena is too much for FMJ.
What garbage! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X_NLVvQgcA0 "I'll fight anyone from 54-68" A win over GGG at 154 (After GGG clears out 160) woud put Floyd into the Top 5 of the ATG list.
Be real. He might pull it off, wich I wouldn't have said before this weekend, but it won't be easy at all. Golovkin would moider Canelo for instance, finish him inside 5.
Floyd would beat ggg very easily. You cant hit Mayweather with combos. Lucky if you get in a good shot. Floyd way to quick for him.
160 is to much for Floyd and he doesn't HAVE to go there anyway, the guy has already gone up 5 divisions. He woke up the morning of the fight weight 146. He could arguably fight anyone between 140 - 154, covering the best fighters 3 divisions. North of 154 is a step to far.
You're out of your mind, Floyd would have to be PERFECT all 12 rounds. Golovkin nails him, fight's over. Power is the great equalizer.
Golovkin isn't fast enough to catch Floyd. And if he does catch him, one punch isn't going to do it. GGG couldn't get Rosado out of there with repeated, at will flush shots until halfway through the fight, how's he going to beat Mayweather with just a single punch landed very rarely throughout the entire fight?
Come on... why the **** do you want a guy who walks in the high 140's to fight a guy who walks in the 170's? There's fights to make that aren't huge weight jumps.
6 foot tall, 160+ lb Gabe Rosado who uses his face as a defense Gabe Rosado? Yeah. GGG couldn't finish him. Floyd is 5'8" could still make 140. Physics is something you can only overcome going up in weight so many times. Besides, who wants to see him run for 12rds.
