The only problem against Margo is that it will be a ugly fight that give the floyd haters more to b***h about.

i think floyd would fight margo on the outside and box away from him for all 12rds.unlike cotto mayweather would not get tired and finnish just as strong as he started. the difference is you want see mayweather starting to wilt or fade.

Floyd's accurate punching would buckle margo's knees just like the cotto fight. Margo is too slow and his jabs are so predictable, that Floyd would smash Margo's face to pulp. The only problem for floyd is that margo would cut him off the ring and tie him on the ropes, and floyd might be receiving big body blows from margo.

    Floyd UD(shutout) Margo.

Margarito is a no talent, cheating bum. He has never beaten an elite fighter (fairly) and yet he is supposed to trouble Floyd??

Cotto actually knows how to box. A boxer is what would give Floyd trouble, not some unskilled, horribly slow, punching bag.

Floyd would make Margo look like the woman he really is. :deal

I thought it was a good competitive scrap. I had it 116-112 for Mayweather. Cotto surprised me with some of the things he was able to do. Cotto negated the pull counter and lead right which really surprised me. Floyd has slowed down a bit, his legs and reflexes are not what they use to be.

Problems? Yes, I agree. Floyd would have to move so damn much, because the ropes would be far too dangerous. It's clear he can slip and roll and block a vast majority of Margarito's punches, but the punches Margarito does throw and land would have a much more taxing effect, whereas Floyd's shots, for all of their accuracy, would do nothing. But his conditioning is good enough to survive. Would have been great to see.

    We always knew this...

There is a reason why Floyd wanted no part of Margo. Floyd would have gotten beat up in this fight more than any fight in his career, win or lose.

Margarito has no stamina problems, Floyd can't hurt him. Margarito is long and rangy. He's slow, but when he gets you on the ropes he puts his whole body into those uppercuts.

I know that Floyd legitimately ducked Margarito. That's the last fighter Floyd wants to get in the ring with.

You can put Angulo, and Paul Williams in that category too.

Don't get me wrong, guys like Pacquaio and Martinez could potentially turn his lights out, but it would be more of a chess match.

Against Margarito, and Angulo, it's run for your life or get stopped.

I think mayweather would win this fight. Although I obviously see mayweather winning most of the rounds, it would be competitive throughout. A win against margo is probably the hardest easy victory you'll ever get as a fighter.

Margarito doesn't have an overabundance of boxing skill or speed, but his ability to take a punch and stamina are damn near legendary. When he gets caught by leads, combos, or counters that would make most fighters gun shy, this dude fires right back; usually from the side where he was punched. Don't forget, this is the man who set the compubox record for most punches ever thrown in a 12 round fight (1675 to be exact).
