$311M-$307M edge to Floyd vs common opponents as A-sides, with Pac getting more PPV buys and more people paying to watch him at the gate..does that say 60-40?

This issue should be about how the money should be split between the two camps based on comparison of revenue generated over the last few years, not who ends up getting more of a raise or not.

Floyd can choose to continue fighting non-significant fights against desperate no-hopers allowing him to take 100% of the revenue for $40M-50M, or he can take what has turned into his career-defining fight and make $60-70M and probably more should the fight shatter records.

Neither was anywhere near an A-side back when they happened, and circumstances skewed the buying rate for each fight, eg. first time 24/7 was used to hype a fight for DLH-Mayweather, and for DLH-Pacquiao Manny was moving up to WW having fought at 130 the same year leading it to be deemed a complete mismatch by virtually everyone, whereas Floyd was moving up from 147 and only a slight favorite vs Oscar.

If they insist on the DLH fight being used to determine the split Mayweather is seeking, the fight will not happen. It's not a fair indicator of their drawing power today and there are fairer indicators out there.

Whether you want to see the fight, or just want to see Floyd get paid what he wants, neither will happen if they persist with that.

Floyd vs Pac is estimated 100 million. Are those numbers even obtainable, is another question of its own?

Now i'm not saying that Floyd deserves 60% but he have an arguement. He has better numbers and not to mention that Pac's career high pay is only 25 million thanks to Arum taking 40% of his pay.

Thats only America. Think total revenue Internationally and i believe the numbers would be fairly different. Asia is the biggest gambling continent in the world and the fact that Pac is a Superstar there more so than PBF i think these things need to be taken into consideration.

Africa. Do you follow boxing at all. We have no sources because HBO get a straight fee from TV companies airing the fights which they dont track. If they were to statistically keep the numbers you would be through the roof anyone that knows Asia and sports and Gambling knows.

Now let's look at the common opponents. the numbers for all common opponents are listed above and the common opponents amongst them are De La Hoya, Hatton, Marquez, Cotto, and Mosley. Mayweather has 7,325,000 PPV buys among common opponents and averages 1,465,000. Pacquiao has 6,100,000 buys among common opponents nad averages 1,220,000. You have one guy averaging 1,705,000 and another guy averaging 1,113,000, whic is a difference of 592,000 PPV buys or more than half of Pacquiao's average. If you go off the common opponents, Floyd averages 245,000 more buys which is approx. 17% higher than Pacquiao.

If you look at revenue then Floyd also holds a very big edge with this as well. I don't have the Pacquiao revenue numbers, but the top 4 highest net revenue fights all include Floyd. You have De La Hoya Mayweather at approx $135,000,000, Cotto Mayweather at $94,000,000, Ortiz Mayweather at $78,400,000, and Mosley Mayweather at $78,000,000. The only numbers I have for Pacquiao's revenue is $70,100,000 for the Pacquiao De La Hoya fight. Some fans say, "well it's the De La Hoya-Mayweather fight that jacks up Floyd's numbers." Well that is fine but that is not relevant. The numbers are what they are and there is no way to change them.

Some will say "well Floyd fights once per year and that's why he does those high numbers." To those people, I'll point out that since the De La Hoya fight, Floyd fought Oscar and Hatton in a 7 month period, Marquez and Mosley in a 8 month period, and Ortiz and Cotto within an 8 month period. Mayweather and De La hoya also split $79,000,000 with 2,400,000 PPV buys, with Oscar making $52,800,000 and Floyd taking $26,200,000 to my understanding. So it's safe to assume that Mayweather and Pacquiao will split $105,000,000 at 3,000,000 PPV buys. Pacquiao has a career high payday of $25,000,000 to include profits off of PPV revenue (I am not including the Bradley fight as we just don't know here), while Floyd will end with about $50,000,000 for Cotto ($32,000,000 guarantee and $18,000,000 off PPV revenue).

So if they split $105,000,000, and Pacquiao took his career high of $40,000,000, he would end up with $15,000,000 more than anything he ever made. Floyd would end up with $15,000,000 more than anything he ever made and the deal is a fair one.

If you go with 50/50 then Floyd makes $2,500,000 more than he made for Cotto, while Manny would double his high payday of $25,000,000 and take home $52,500,000-not a good deal for both parties. How they pay that out from there is on the fighters.

If they did a 45/45-10 to the winner (which will never happen in boxing-see Pacquiao-Marquez or Williams-Lara as to why it won't) then Floyd takes a slight paycut if he loses at $47,500,000 and only makes about $57,000,000 if he wins ($7,000,000 above his highest total at $50,000,000. Manny on the other side, would be guarantee'd approx $20,000,000 more his highest payday if he lost, and $32,000,000 his highest payday if he won. I just don't see how this deal is fair...one guy stands to make a little bit more than his high payday when the PPV numbers, revenue made, and past net take home, has him dominating the Pacquiao. Note-I know my numbers are slightly off for the money and percentage splits but I hold no bias with those numbers.

Let's also not reach for anything with the PPV amount...De La Hoya Mayweather was raised $5 for the HD and $5 for the non HD. So we can assume that a Pacquiao Mayweather fight would have a PPV price tag of $70 for HD and $60 for non HD.

Are you serious. Ask anyone Internationally what they prefer to buy.

Ask go on do a poll on ESB for fans based outside the USA on if they buy Pac before Mayweather or if they buy Mayweather at all.

Start a poll i dare you asking all the UK, Asian, Australian, European boxing fans.

I think you will find it will be eye opening. Thats my source my source is being a ESB member and chatting with ESB regulars about what PPV's they buy.
