sure he does... Shane Mosley. That is the only guy worth a **** I know for certain Oscar sparred and that was in prep for the Mayweather fight. Load of good that did for him since Shane never got it through his head that putting his forearm over his midsection does not constitute all of Mayweather's defensive style.

I think he did spar with Pernell back when he was an amateur. I'm very certain that I heard Floyd say that.
Also yeah Chavez probably did have better sparign partners.

During the Ortiz press conference Floyd said he had not yet started camp but as soon as he starts he will be doing a **** ton of sparring and its the best thing to do. Conditioning, rust, skills.
Id rather spar all day then run around like a idiot.

 

Yeah guys who fight like Floyd CAN spar all day because they simply won't take that much punishment, especially with the big gloves/slightly slower punches coming.

guys who just bang without his savvy can't do that much hard sparring before the big fight or they are going to be beat to a pulp well before fight night wiith huge injuries.

Its not like there are going to be a lot of gym wars: its going to be Floyd beating people up and still not getting hit frequently.
