I thought a more intelligent approach to this question should be taken. ITs easy for people to say floyd is not even top 40 ATG or he isn't even the top 100 but lets look at his ATG status by each weightclass he has been in.

    130 ATG:

    1. Floyd - Destroyed every fighter he fought at this weightclass, a 70% ko ratio at this weight shows me floyd was the total package at this weight. I don't see any fighter in history beating him at this weight.

    2. Alexis Arguello - One of the toughest fighters at 130, and one of the most technically gifted. of the few fights I have seen of arguello at 130 he was definitely the real deal.

    3. Salvador Sanchez - Very deceptive speed, outstanding punching power. lacked the lateral and defensive skills needed to beat floyd.

    4. Azumah Nelson - the professor was very smart in the ring and maximized his abilities. not the strongest or fastest at the weight but he could have beat any fighter at 130 except those mentioned above him.

    5. Julio Caesar Chavez - very strong, and had a cast iron jaw. his slow hand speed would mean trouble for him against the above mentioned fighters.

    135 ATG's:

    1. Pernell Whitaker - one of nthe most gifted fighters to ever grace the 135 division, he had it all and the intangibles that most fighters did not possess (defensive elusiveness).

    2. Roberto Duran - The hands of Stone could box and brawl with the best of them. while he lacked the sophistication of a floyd or sweet pea roberto duran was the hardest puncher at 135 and would have been even money with ether one.

    3. Floyd Mayweather Jr. - If he had stayed at 135 for another year his resume at 135 would be much stronger. Floyd was quicker then most fighters at this weight and his defensive capabilites made him the most dominant lightweight champ since sweet pea.

    4. Alexis Arguello- One of the most technically gifted punchers what arguello lacked in defense he made up for it in offense.

    5. Julio Casear Chavez - one of the strongest fighters at 135, julio was never down at this weight or even close to it. his body of work at 135 was impressive and probably his best division.

who did mosley fight at 135 and beat that was better then castillo.:rofl and floyd beat castillo twice no matter how you try and spin it. Mosley was at light weight for years and did not unify or beat the other top lightweights. But based on longevity I would kick out chavez at 135 and replace him with mosley.

floyds first fight at 135 was against the ring champ in castillo and he beat him injuries and all. Every close fight is not a robbery just ask duran:deal

Need I remind you gu Bigtime 9 said Floyd was a top 3 ATG after beating DLH...BEATING a guy he doesn't even hold high to begin with.

And he supposedly has 6 Matsers degrees.

i keepo asking you to post his resume, doesn't matter if he fought 20 guys at lightweight who did he beat at his weight that was considered a HOfer or even close to being an atg. we know floyd beat castillo what about mosley what was his signature win at 135
