it's all opinions, you are entitled to yours, if you had said floyd was top50 at lightweight then guess what that's your opinion. these ****s want to announce their opinion as fact:deal not in my thread.
There was no such thing as a Ring champ when Mosley fought at LW. :deal So that isn't relevant. And PBF didn't fight the Ring champion either. PBF won the Ring title by beating Castillo, who was the #1 rated LW, but not the Ring champion. These are not opinions but facts.
Why do you guys even bother arguing with this unknowledgable fanboy clown?:think It's the same with arguing against Carlito, where I don't, I just send him brutal insults.
I like to see him contradict himself. I like to watch him say something, prove him wrong, and then see him try to pretend he didn't see it or say it. It's funny...
With all of this being said though, I am starting to reflect on Floyd's legacy and my opinion of him is going downwards and I suppose solely on his comfort zone horse**** post 135.
He is still a great fighter....if he dominates Hatton, then it will be another notch on his belt for me.
Of course, that's a great win if it's a total domination, but you have to understand that it's a selected opponent. I seriously doubt Floyd will face the real dangers at 147 and that type of comfort zone attitude is one what I hate, because a guy like Floyd can secure ANYTHING he wants in terms of getting fights. Hatton will be easy pickings, that's why I keep it into context, even though Hatton in the resume itself is a very good notch. A great fighter, but I am losing respect very fast for him and I always respected him as a fighter but not as a person, now I am fastly losing respect for him as a fighter. Hell, he doesn't even go all out anymore in fights when there is any measure of danger... Whitaker didn't have a ton of pop, but he surely threw combination after combination and normally until the final bell, utilising all of his ability and skill throughout the fight.
Say he retires on it. Or better yet, say he goes after someone a notch below Hatton, like the winner or Harris-Witter when he can secure anything he wants and is in his prime. I really hope he goes all out on Hatton, like he did proper. If he pot shots his way to victory when he has the ability to brutally thrash Hatton then I am going to really be annoyed with him. Because like I said with the Whitaker analogy, Pernell didn't have a lot of power, but he used every aspect of his ability.
I think he will open up on Hatton because Hatton isn't going to come in at 160+ lbs. And Hatton may force the issue. If he retires on it, then he stays at the bottom of the top 80 ATG where he belongs IMO.
And if Hatton wins, say by KO? That'll drop Floyd tremendously and also make DLH look horrible. Two fighters I can't stand, go Ricky. Even though it's 99% a probability that Floyd easily deals with Hatton, thus why Floyd is taking him in the first place.
This has nothing to do with Bigtime. He has a good but not great resume. Look at Ring's top 80 fighters of the last 80 years. They had DLH in the 70's in 2003. PBF hasn't accomplished what DLH had accomplished at that time. His resume is not as good.
Top 40? No. He's not in my top 50 either. His biggest wins have become lesser than thought at the time and I know that KG is taking that factor into consideration. I also felt he lost to Castillo first time around by 2 points and Castillo is only a top 35 LW. His best win is Corrales, I also highly rate his green win over Hernandez and his win over J. Chavez and of course rate all of the domination against B level opponents. Top 50 is fair, he's top 15 on skills and ability... JWW and WW has been a pathetic adventure.
