Is PBF's greatness being based on Video analysis, resume, what.....tell everyone the criteria so there can be a basic element to choose from.

Based on resume, he is not the top 130 fighter ever, not in the top 5 at 135, not in the top 10 of either 140 or 147. If it's based on your video analysis and NOT on resume, well then you are unqualified. You cannot say that you have not seen Leonard at 135, but you have seen PBF so he is better. Not to mention, if you are discounting resumes, you would have had to see every good fighter from 135 to make this statement.

PBF would have a case for #1 at 130 IF he would've beat Freitas and Casamayor while they were hot there...and no way PBF is #3 all-time at 135, he just wasn't there long enough...

Sanchez was an 126 lb. champion, NOT 130 lbs.

Stop embarrassing yourself and Mayweather fans as a whole.

I dont rate floyd in a particular weight class. b/c since 130 he gets called this and that for feasting off a few C or B level guys but most guys who are top in the division or ATG feasted on these same B and C level fighters more often. You guys act like every top fighter in there prime fought other top fighters..NO, they did not. The exception is Whitaker. But if you break it down. Floyd fought just as many top fighters as any ATG besides whitaker, duran, leonard. Thats just my take. There were always Corrales and Castillos of the world. Very good boxers that are threats. And there are always the bruseles of the world..Every great fighter has there fair share of both. Castillo did not beat Floyd the first fight. Close but no cigar. He only won 3 rounds clear and easy. Floyd won the first 5 clear and easy. The rest of the rounds could go either way as a matter of opinion. This was one of two of his only close fights in 38 fights. He gets the benefit of the doubt.

Yeah, I guess I'm better off determining the winner by looking at boxrec.

It boggles my mind that people like you, who have no clue about the sport before your time, feel the need to talk about fighters in an all time sense.

How can you talk about fighters in an all time sense when you have no idea about fighters from era's before your time?

How can you be taken seriously when you leave Benny Leonard out of a top 5 lightweight list and have Floyd at no.3?

There IS footage of Benny Leonard out there.

There IS footage of many of his opponents as well, such as:
Lew Tendler, Freddie Welsh, Willie Ritchie, Johnny Dundee, Jimmy McLarnin, Johnny Kilbane and Ted Kid Lewis.

You probably haven't heard of the guys I mentioned, but they were all Hall of Famers. Try and get some of the footage that exists on them (don't ****en expect everything to be handed to you on a silver platter through youtube) and do some research on them to learn about how great they were.

Once you do that you will see the folly of placing someone like Mayweather before him, you will develop a more well rounded opinion and you'll stop being the joke of ESB.

Any lightweight list without Joe Gans is a complete joke.

Yeah, as is one without Henry Armstrong.

Mayweather is outside by top 25 lightweights.

how you can you be taken seriouly when you have never seen a fighter fight but yet you proclaim him the greatest. Have you seen benny leonard, or joe gans fight. if you have seen him was he quicker and stronger then floyd at 135 or are you just going by word of mouth.:deal

Anyone that proclaims himself the victor in an argument has either lost confidence or is trolling very well.

bigtime, you're pretty much filled up to the neck in ****.

I've seen both Benny Leonard and Joe Gans fight.

Benny Leonard had the best footwork I've seen on any fighter bar Willie Pep. He was a very clever fighter, great at feinting and working behind the jab and the straight right hand. Defensively he is up there in the top ten that I've seen. He was definitely as strong as Mayweather, and imo more resilient and willing to scrap than Mayweather is. In his fight with Lew Tendler, who was every bit as strong as Castillo was, and with better skills, Leonard actually stood his ground and outscrapped him down the stretch, showing that he had guts and mettle to go along with his finesse. Of the footage I've seen, I think he is a little slower than Mayweather, but it was footage of Leonard when he was a little past his best, so I'm not willing to say Leonard was slower per se.
