floyds belts

It's stupid that Floyd is still champion at 154.even tough it's over year for his last fight there.and it was also catchweight.

But this is boxing,belts are handed like candies,sanctioning bodies are crooked.rankings are manipulated.

Floyd is number 1 at 147pounds atleast in most eyes.and Floyd chooses who he wants to fight mandatory or not,it doesn't matter.wbc etc.. Will bend over for Floyd whenever he wants.only when somebody like walking punchingbag like Guerrero earns mandatory status by crooked sanctioning bodies.then Floyd jumps for the opportunity to fight his mandatory.and smile to the bank.and say,see i fought number 1 contender crooked sanctioning body said so.

 

umm when was the last time or ANY time Floyd did NOT fight his mando ? would love to hear this one

 

Some boxers are above following the mandatory rules, pretty much. And rightfully so to an extent since most sanctioning bodies don't properly rank fighters to establish a worthy mandatory opponent.

The last thing the WBC or WBA wants to do is make Floyd mad and have him drop their belt, and thus the fees and publicity that come along with him toting along one of their straps.

His last mandatory opponent was May 2013 against Guerrero.

 

I read somewhere Pacquaio was at one point mandatory.and if we didn't have these crooked sanctioning bodies,Pacquaio would have been mando the last 5yrs.

Please correct me if i'm wrong about that Pacquaio was mando at one point

 

Fighters who hold another belt are never made mandatory challengers for a titlist. I know Pac was Floyds' mandatory at some point, and IIRC it had to be between losing his belt to Bradley or KTFO6 and regaining his title in the rematch to Bradley.

It's truly sad that belts have become so meaningless these days !

 

the wbc gifted pac the mando status after the rios fight just try to get the Floyd pac fight done BUT pac made sure he wouldn't stay the mando by immediately signing to fight the useless was boring not needed Bradley rematch, pac KNEW making that waste of a fight REMOVES him from mando status.

imagine if the roles were reversed, Floyd would get murdered for such a duck of a move

 

what really should had happened was pac enforcing the mando instead of wasting his time with Bradley

another opportunity to fight Floyd that pac instantly trashed

 

Yes,the champ should always defend his belt against number 1 contender.or drop it and say i'm not best in this weighclass right now.

And of course get rid of these sanctioning bodies who probably call to some top fighters and ask who they want to be the number 1contender.

It's stupid that some people are defending,thats it's okay to pick your opponents when you are the champ.

 

why would he waste his time when floyd himself threatened to drop the belt if he was forced to fight manny? that would be the real waste of time.

Mandatory challengers do get enforced...but Mayweather has serious clout. :good

 

The last stunt by MW with the 154 and 147 lb belts is a perfect example of that .

 

I'm pretty sure a unification fight trumps a mandatory. I do & don't get the complaint about the 154 titles who should get a shot there that people will care about he already beat the guy currently rated #1 in a unifying fight.

His last two fight's was a unification fight and his first defense was vs the guy who's title he took. Not to sound like a Floyd homer but it's like people just look for things to complain about. The one guy everyone wants to see him fight had a chance to fight for the Real WW Title and ducked out.

Personally I don't really care about the sanctioning rating I look at the total weight class rankings like Ring,ESPN,SI,TBR ect...
