RECORDED BY HISTORY: 1) Ricky Hatton: HOF, Unified title holder at 140, dangerous opponent and good win. 2) Oscar De La Hoya: HOF for sure, on the downside of his career when he fought Mayweather, but still good split decision win. 3) Diego Corrales: Solid one dimensional fighter, probably not a hall of famer. So in conclusion, Floyd has 2 sure shot Hall of Famers and one that is close. ATG resume?
No. Hopkins and Pacquiao have better resumes. It is between those two for FOTD. All-time? Mayweather's resume is feeble in all-time terms. Guys like Ezzard Charles fought more good fighters in a single year than PBF did in his entire career.
Genaro Hernandez has a legitimate shot at the hall of fame, and whether his career warrants it or not, Chico will be in the Hall. I guarantee it.
Could have fooled me. Didn't change his gameplan up one bit against Clottey who was the much bigger man.
Well if your boxing knowledge is limited to the past three years then yes, Chico may have looked quite one dimensional to you.
Floyd has an all-time great resume ... he has the chance to have fought and beat 6 hall of famers. DLH - is a lock Hatton - is on his way to a hall of fame career Hernandez - is on the verge of getting in Gatti - on the boarder but might get in Corrales - life and career cut shot, on those facts alone, along with being a 2-division, 3-time champion ... he's sure to get in Judah - on the verge ... if he can win another championship ... I'd say he's in there. Only time will tell ... but the fact is that his resume is top notch
What are you on about? He started that fight boxing but end up slugging it.He wasn't an excellent boxer but was a lot more better than people like you give him credit. And he wa sfighting against huge odds then,I don't think I need to explain. Watch the second Casamayor fight, somewhat in the third.Guy had skills.
Corrales fought at 130 as late as 2004(three years after the Floyd fight). If you really think that weight is the reason he lost every second of every round, was KD 5 times and eventually stopped, then by my guest. Those two losses were a controversial decision to Mosley and a loss to Hopkins at MW. The fact that he went up in weight in beat a reigning champ and future HOFer who gave Hopkins a competitive fight is pretty damn good. I kind of agreee with this. Judah wasn't a top 3 win. However, Judah was only one fight removed from being the undisputed WW champ as well as a top 10 p4p fighter. Judah had his issues, but he had the speed and power needed to beat a guy like Floyd. Many people underrate this win. When you compare him to his comtemperaries, I believe it is.
If he fights Pacquiao ... Cotto ... and or Mosley ... then he's a shoe in for an all-time great position ... he's already considered the best and most talented of this generation ... he has the respect of his peers and those on their way up the circuit.
