    1. genaro hernandez (undefeated at 130 13 title defenses)

    2. Diego Corrales ( undefeated at 130 33-0 30 kos)

    3. Jose Luis Castillo (Lineal Lightweight champion with 2 year reign as champion)

    4. Arturo Gatti ( undefeated for 3 years WBC champ-made floyd legit wbc champ in 3rd weight class)

    5. Zab Judah (IBF welterweight champion-former undisputed 147 champ)

    6. Carlos baldomir (undefeated for 8 years- made floyd legit wbc 147 champ and Lineal champ).

    7. Oscar De La Hoya (Current WBC 154 champ knocked out former champ-floyd fighting for historic 5th WBC title. oscar holds the record at four legit wbc titles. floyd by beating oscar became the youngest 5 weight world champion (30) in history for both the WBC and any other sanctioning body.

    8. Shane Mosley (Current Lineal champion one of a few fighters who have held the lineal welterweight title twice. by beating margarito mosley secured his place as an ATG weltwerweight champion by capturing his second lineal 147 title! Floyd was lineal 147 champion up until 2008. so this fight was to determine who the true lineal 147 champion was. it was a very historic fight in floyds career.

    9. Miguel Cotto (current WBA 154 champ - undefeated for 3 years- floyd facing cotto in only his second fight at 154. great win that established floyd as a two time 154 champ (WBC, WBA)

    10. Canelo Alvarez (Current WBC and WBA 154 champ - undefeated- floyd 36 trying to recapture the WBC 154 title he vacated but defend his WBA 154 title he won from cotto, on top of that the Lineal 154 title was on the line this would make floyd lineal in 4 weight classes!!!! all by the age of 36

    up next:

    in no particular order:

    1. pacquiao
    2. bradley
    3. garcia
    4. broner/khan winner

gatti wasn't that good. citing belts is very misleading in boxing, because there are so many of them
i'll be surprised if Bradley happens. he sells like winky wright

i disagree about the belts not mattering. No other fighter in the history of the sport has one multiple titles in different weight classes with the same sanctioning body?

like a 5 weight IBF or WBA champ.. you just dont see it. so for floyd to capture the WBC title in five weight classes is remarkable. very few fighters in history have won multiple titles let alone in the same sanctinoning body. that means your moving up and beating champions. gatti was undefeated for three years he was good enough to remain undefeated for that long for a reason, floyd was just better

the problem I have with belts is that it misleads the public
there are over half a dozen recognized belts per weight division, so the term 'world champion' doesn't apply in boxing most of the time as it does in other sports
its part of the reason fighters like a felix sturm (and a string of other germans), Lucian bute and many others, get 'a' belt, and then do nothing to raise their international profile so they can milk it for good $$$ in their home country, because the casual fan doesn't know its bogus

Castillo II (avenged his only loss)
    Judah
    Baldomir
    Hatton
154 Cotto is a good win IMO.

Gatti was a more high profile-business wise type of fight.

Canelo is a top 5 win. Canelo young prime, champion, weighed at least 15 pounds more. Once Canelo keeps winning then it will be a top 5 win

OP means that Hernandez was his first top10 win, not that that was the best on Floyds resume. But yeah, Baldomir or Gatti needs to change with Hatton.

off that list the only decent win against a prime fighter at his prime weight were corrales and the 2nd castillo fight.

guys im not ranking the fights in order..i didnt select hatton but i should have i was focused on his championships won and not his title defenses.

but yeah add hatton since he was undefeated. the fight would of had more meaning if it took place at 140..it would have been unification wbc and IBF plus the lineal title on trhe line

wasnt hernandez already beaten by oscar before the floyd fight?

corrales, something wrong with this guy. i watched the fight and he could not extend his arms negating his reach and height advantage.

    castill beat floyd.

belts...this is how to justify floyd beat good competition. not impressed.

Corrales is CLEARLY his best win. You'd have to be blind not to see that.

Floyd looked sensational that night... BUT! How can you be called the GOAT and not have a better victory than one 12 years ago? And how can you be called the GOAT and your best win is over Diego Corrales (no disrespect)?

    Ain't happening!
