the oscar fight was significant because it was at 154..floyd going for his fifth wbc title at the age of 30 was monumental i put that as floyds second biggest accomplishment in the ring.

he had a chance and he blew it, instead fought blown up pee drinker.

my take is, he actually planned it. he didnt want none of the opportunity to fight an atg in his prime.

looking back, he actually had 2 ooportunites and he blew up another by cheating the other guy in the weighing scales.

floyd isnt really interested in legacy fights. this is very clear now. he is too concerned with keeping his zero no matter what.

that i fully understand and has no problem with. i prolly would have done the same, well maybe not.

my problem is, when his fans will try shore him up the atg rankings when clearly his resume doesnt support it.

This just shows that Floyd can never be considered a top 10 all time great.

Had the skills but just didnt beat the fighters.

Baldomir and Gatti for gods sake.

Hell no they weren't better P4P fighters or bigger fights than Oscar @ LMW. Oscar beat Vargas, Castilljeo, Mayorga and Mosley at that weight, oh and gatti too.
