The camp of Floyd Mayweather Jr. belied Manny Pacquiao’s statement that he has given the unbeaten American a $50-million counteroffer to make the super-fight.

Mayweather’s adviser Leonard Ellerbe told Yahoo! Sports’ Kevin Iole that Pacquiao made no such offer.

The Filipino champion earlier said he offered Mayweather a $50-million guarantee back in January just to make the fight.

Pacquiao said the rest of revenue, including pay-per-view earnings, will be split with 55% going to the winner and 45% going to the loser.

The fighting congressman said he made the counteroffer shortly after Mayweather proposed that Pacquiao will receive a $40-million guarantee for the fight.

Ellerbe claimed that Pacquiao couldn’t have come up with such offer, claiming that the Filipino boxer didn’t know where the revenue would be coming from.

“[Pacquiao] is a guy who doesn’t know what he makes fight to fight. He has no idea of where the revenue comes from. There’s no way he’s going to come up with something like that [offer] off the top of his dome,”
    he said.

Ellerbe said Pacquiao’s claim was just a yarn spun by boxing promoter Bob Arum.

“What Manny Pacquiao has to understand, and I don’t think he understands this part, is that if the fight ever comes off, he’ll never make the kind of money that Floyd makes,”
Ellerbe said. “That’s simply because of the structure of his terrible deal with his promoter.”

Makes you wonder if Pacquiao wanted to take away the same amount as Mayweather after the promoters have had their cut.

    That's not gonna happen.

floyd warned him years ago...told him how bad he was getting ****ed over by arum.....but you cant blame manny totally...i mean if you were just a poor kid from the slums like he is...and some guy is writing you huge checks you never imagined youd be seeing...you probably wouldnt think much of it....just say "keep those checks coming".....and thats all manny really cares about

the guys too busy throwing breaking phones and threatning security guards "ill ****ing kill you myself if you let ariza back in my room".....cause somebody told him he should get to bed lol

until each fighter is on an even playing field this fight will never happen cos as it stands pac would have to command a much higher share in order to walk away with the same amount as floyd would. Arum be the problem here..

This bull**** of who's offering who what, is fkn' rediculous. These guys aren't gonna' fight each other and just want to keep the fans talking. I think after manny beats Bradley he'll retire and NATURALLY, Floyd will say "I made him retire".

Floyd will tweet Manny to retirement :rofl
For the one who talks a hell of a lot and the one who walks away from a 50-50 split. :rofl

50-50 deals happen a lot in the sport of boxing, why the hell can't they accept the fair cut.

    who cares?

floyd rejected a fair 50/50 offer and would be fighting pac's leftover.

ellerbe talking some gay **** again.

Manny should listen to his brother's advice and I think the Floyd fight will get made. Bobby got the brains whereas Manny got the athletic ability - Bobby understands business and could advise Manny how to negotiate.

floyd should not have any problem with what percentage arum takes from pac just like pac has no problem with what percentage does GBP and haymon take from floyd's cut.

    it should be 50/50 split.

For those in ESB who don't speak *******, allow me to translate:

puga - "Floyd's camp speaks lies, Pacquiao's camp speaks truth."

Pac lost and Floyd went on vacation.

    I've lost interest.
