You're like the fan that is so biased that he can't listen an opinion that differs from what he wants to hear.
I've been debating with serious people for years about boxing. Seldom is it done on this forum. I've been listening to the same recycled material, the exact same, spewed from the likes of you for years now as well. I know how this argument ends. Neither of us convince the other of anything. Neither of us learn anything new. I will skip all of that. Everyone has opinions. Those opinions lose credibility when too extreme or hypocritical. But everyone has their own. Not acknowledging that is the first sign of an unworthy opinion.
What I said was true. Foreman retired through a leg injury. Canelo won his belt because it was vacant against a MASSIVELY limited Matthew Hatton that more than held his own against Canelo. YOU CANNOT DENY THESE FACTS.
So I was wrong? Floyd could have fought Kosta. Same with Mosely. Now you tell me, who has Floyd beaten in their prime, at their optimal weight that is an ATG? Please tell me.
Why are you bringing up the belts over and over again? I never brought up the titles. I don't really care all that much about them. I am talking about RANKING, not their status of being a champion and how worthy that claim is. Titles haven't been very relevant in quite some time. RANKING, my friend. Cotto was #1. Canelo was #1 + Lineal champ.
Because their "Rankings" was BS. You claim #1 like they were terrors at 154. They were useless there. There records there are littered with dodgy decisions. How can Canelo be linear by winning a vacant belt?
ATG's rarely ever lose at their optimal weight in their prime. We're talking maybe a couple times in a decade will the ATG's of that era lose in their prime, if that. Otherwise it wouldn't exactly be their prime, now would it?
No, I'm just saying that I don't make them out terrors and that the way they both picked up titles there was Bulls*it of the highest degree. One won because his opponents leg gave way, the other picked up vacant belts. Hardly "taking it from the man" is it?
Kostya was with Showtime on an exclusive deal while Floyd was with HBO... To deny the relevance of that is to choose to be ignorant. And check out the dates on boxrec if you are serious with that. They shared the same division for like 5 minutes before Hatton beat and retired Kostya. Kostya was old and clearly not in his prime when Floyd was at Junior Welter so unless he had faced him while he was still at 130, jumping two divisions, he would have never been able to fight a prime Kostya. As for Mosley, man you're really behind on that one, huh? Might want to do some research into that one before you ever bring it up again in this context and look foolish as you do now.
