Far from it, just trying to see how you're measuring the amount of damage to have your chin tested. Still not sure... I feel Mayweather's been hit enough to test it, so I've made the judgement for myself. You say he hasn't so I'm trying to see how much damage one needs to take in YOUR opinion. So again I ask you... Who's someone who YOU feel you can judge their chin, but they don't get hit a lot like the fighters you mentioned?
Margarito got hit by a thousand of those right hands Mosley hurt Floyd with, and no, he didn't see them all coming. If Margo's got a 10 for a chin , Floyd's chin is average. All Floyd's ever shown is that he can take a flush shot once in a blue moon, and that does not prove he has a great chin. By the way he's reacted to those punches, it proves he has an average chin. I've never seen him take a big , flush shot and not overreact to it.
Ultra dumb comment. You do know that there is a such thing as Youtube right idiot? Why don't you go check it out. Damn your stupid is stinking up the joint.
I have no clue was to what type of answer you are looking for. Obviously if I don't think it's been tested enough to be called world class, then the answer is MORE then it has been. I mean, seriously, what kind of answer can I say? Should have taken 100 more punches? 300 more for his career? :huh Bottom line is, you cannot accurately judge the chin of a guy who doesn't get hit as much as others. It's really as simple as that. That's not to say it';s terrible, becasue obviously it's not. But those claiming it's one of the best, well, that's going to more of a guess then anything solid to go on. Most Floyd fans just want him to be the best at EVERYTHING. Best boxer...best footwork...best counterpuncher...best chin...best combinations...best jab... ALL these are things said. Jesus christs! :dead
There was nothing dumb about suggesting his chin hasn't been fully tested over his career becasue of his defense. The fact that you think it was dumb just shows what a ****** Floyd fan you are and can't stand ANY criticism to him. You act like Floyd's your fat girlfriend you have to defend 24/7.... atsch Sorry ****, I prefer to watch entire fights. Not ****in youtube clips of FLoyd taking some punches. Now **** off and take your AIDS test you crack baby...
It's not so much his chin as his defense and his cool. The man is so in control that even when he gets hit, he doesn't panic and does just the right thing at the right time to make sure he gives something back AND doesn't get hit again. That is just pure mastery at it's finest. He is a warrior inside the ring. Outside however...it's a whole other story.
A few answers to that question can give me the answer I've been looking for. I'm not one of those claiming it's iron. I said damn good chin if I remember correctly. I'm simply trying to see where you draw the line on a fighter having their chin tested. You're answer to the question above would give me a good indication IMO.
Just watched the Chavez and Castillo fights. Floyd can take the ones he's sees very well. He rolls with shots very well and has excellent focus. That being said there is a definite difference between the shots chavez a 130 lb'er hits him with and the shots castillo hits him with, a 135 lb'er that weighed in at 148 lbs the night of the fight. ITs my bilief that Floyd is one or two wieght divisions above his natural fighting weight and ya plenty of guys up at 147 can hurt him. Its why he's so selective about who he fights. Basically the guy only came up that high to fight Oscar...kinda liek Manny only came up that high to fight Ricky and Oscat....notice that at WW both fighter's have to be pretty selective about who they fight. This is not so much because their mathc maker's don't think they could whipp everyone at the weight but more or less because they don't want to see each getting bombed by bigger men.
Floyd whooped Mosley's AZZ who happened to be the hardest hitter available at welter.:huh The welters people wanted to see Floyd fight, Cotto and ANTONIO, don't hit as hard as Shane.
He looked fine when De La Hoya landed late in the fight. Also he looked fine when Castillo was landing in the first fight.
