No one ever questions his chin because he never gets tagged cleanly. So how well do you reckon Floyd can take a shot square on the button? :think

I don't think I've ever seen him truely hurt. Maybe in the first Castillo fight?.. but that was mostly damage to the body. It's almost impossible to catch Floyd with the perfect shot to the chin, because he's so elusive. But what if he slips up?

We all thought Roy was invinceable at one point. We didn't think anyone would ever catch him flush. Then Tarver happened. And now many fans use Roy's chin as the reason why he fell from greatness (well that and eroding skills)

Can PBF suffer the same fate?

coule be, if it comes down to genetics then his chin will be weak.
What seems like a valid excuse for Jones was that he ****ed himself by boiling back down from heavyweight....losing what? 20 or 30lbs of muscle.
Corley had him on ***** steet, and Castillo had him hurt in the 4th I think in the first fight.

Lol look at the Emanuel Augustus fight. Floyd gets tagged. Do ya homework. Floyd can take a punch. He got a solid chin, nothing exceptional or nothing shitty.

Floyd HAS been tagged. He's got a good chin, plus he obviously does a lot of neck strengthening excercise. If Floyd didn't have a good chin, it would have been exposed long ago. Even DLH hit Floyd pretty good a few times , but he shook it off. Mayweathers ability to recover quickly gives the impression he wasn't hit solid. But with all the top guys Floyds been in with, Corrales , Castillio, Chavez, Judah, even Baldimar, he has gotten clocked and he took it well.

Hatton is not a big enough puncher to test it. Margorito and Cintron at W/W maybe but they don't have the skill to catch him.

I think his chin is solid as a rock

    Floyd has been tagged by:

    Castillo - quite big
    Corley - big
Judah - not sure how clean it was
Delahoya - not sure how clean they were

On the other hand we know Hatton has been wobbled to his boots by:

    Collazo
    Tyszu
    Tackie
    Phillips

Both have very good chins. But both can be ko'd by each other

It wasn't Roy's chin. I think it was getting caught flush on the button with a punch he didn't see coming from Tarver, hell Tarver didn't even see that punch. The Glen Johnson fight is a testament to his chin if anything, he took a ****ing beating before he finally went to sleep for about an hour in the ring :patsch

People say Floyd doesn't have a chin, because honestly that is pretty much all thats left for them to say about him. He doesn't really have flaws, and seems to do whatever he wants between the ropes. How is a true PBF hater supposed to envision him losing??? Bingo..."his chin hasn't really been tested, so once he gets hit flush, its nighty night Joy!" Not true, he's been hit clean, he was hit clean by Oscar.

One thing to keep in mind. Roy was very flashy, and seemed to be a little more reckless in the ring then Floyd. They have similar talent, Roy was more athletic and dynamic I think, but Floyd is a lot more cautious. It is alot less likely that Floyd will be caught with something he doesn't see, because he practices good fundamentals consistently.

Floyds chin is fine from what I have seen, he has been hit flush a few times and taken it well.

Hatton will test it for sure but it is the angles Hatton throws from which may be something Floyd has not seen before.

He was definately in trouble and Corley just didnt know how to finish- almost as bad as Bruno Tyson 1 when Bruno had Mike hurt

Hatton will tag PBF and we will see a ferocious outcome.

What...? :nut He wasn't even close to being knocked down much less knocked out. He was stunned for two seconds then sat back on the ropes like he always does, then rallied back and you could have given him the round...

But Floyd has been hit cleanly a lot of times and took'em well...
