9/10. No chin is perfect, but Mayweather's is pretty close.

Mosley catching him showed that he is human.

Saying it precludes him from classing as iron-chinned is silly.

Iron-chinned connotes a range (the highest) and he's in that range, if not at the highest end of it.

He is certainly beyond merely "above average".

10/10, he really only been dropped once (zab judah) but the ref missed it. That is pretty good in 40+ fights.

Eh, KO ratios are bull****; Corley is no powder-puff.

Being caught on the button with a well-thrown and well-placed shot by a crisp puncher is worse than a heavy but glancing or deflected blow from a powerhouse.

I did say he was on the lower end of the iron range as we have glimpsed him being hurt every now and then over the years - but on few enough occasions that it begins to not be a coincidence; nor can you attribute everything to his defense (which is very good but does allow penetration every once in a while; as he is only human...)

Cotto, DLH, Castillo, Ortiz, Ndou, Chico - all landed some head shots. Nothing doing.

Above average chin + Defense > iron chin

lol........good defense means that your chin is weak?

Who has an iron chin then? Margarito? The guy who that same Shane KTFO? Shane, the guy who got hurt in the 2nd round vs Forrest and never recovered? Froch, the guy who was almost out vs Taylor? Pac, the guy who's been stopped multiple times?

GTFO. So people cant prove Floyd's chin is iron but at the same time you can prove his chin is weak? It makes no sense at all. Floyd has a top notch chin. As good as his D is, he's been hit clean, has never gone down, and only rocked a couple of times.

Again, stop talking about Chop without aknowledging the Southpaw angle. Its a huge advantage. Shane caught Floyd leaning back with his hands down. He hit Floyd fresh on the chin. Shane wouldve rocked a ton of guys like that. Dont forget that Floyd was by far the smallest guy he had fought in a long time and he just stopped Margarito in the previous fight

He has a good chin but not iron, however his ability to come back and his ring IQ combined with his chin are better than an iron chin with the skill of Margarito

lol.........do you even realize that Margaito is a huge WW in his 1st division that is big on fight night while Floyd came from SFW and is a very small WW?

So the guy who comes from 130, is one of thee if not thee smallest guy in boxing on fight night but hasnt been dropped in his whole career has a weak chin? Are you insane? What if Floyd was still at 130 or 135? You think he would get buzzed at all? What if he were coming into the ring at 165 on fight night? You think he would get buzzed?

Lets see Margarito go up 5 divisions and still take those shots. You guys talk crazy. Its night & day. Just becaue a guy's defense sucks and is a face first brawler who is the bigger man in 95% of his fights and has plaster in his gloves, doesnt mean he has a better chin. Floyd has a great chin.

Again, if youve never been dropped in your career and only buzzed a few times despite fighting in 5 different weight classes then you have a great chin. Not above average, not good, but great. You will see that agian in September when he's fighting someone 25 pounds bigger than him. A guy who would also knock Margartio TFO

he was no huge SFW and trust me, he couldve easily made weight for JMM. He didnt want to. At LW he came into the ring at 138 for both JLC fights, at 140 he came into the ring at 143 pounds, at WW he came into the ring at 146-148 until his recent fights where he is just 150. I remember watching him against Zab at WW and he was 146 on fight night while Pac was fighting at 130 pounds and coming into the ring at 145. Ive met Floyd. He's a very small dude

I haven't mpersonally met him, but I saw him at the Mosley press conference when they were promoting their fight in DC st the Lincoln Theatre and right after he beat Ortiz he came to "The PArk" a restaurant/club in downtown and I can vouch for this statement. He is relaly small in person, but looks "strong small" if you know what I mean (a la Bruce Lee).

I say his fight against Mosley was where he finally grew into a full fledge welter

I would say very close to iron in his prime. But getting weaker as the days go by.
