Floyd's Counter: the Pig-Stick

    I was watching an old clip of Floyd and Brian Kenny on FNF after he beat Bruseles. In studio, Floyd demonstrates some of his defensive techniques.

    One of them, where he catches his opponent's jab and then shoots his own jab on top, he called a "pig-stick." Or was it a "pick-stick?"

    Anyone know?

    no idea what it's called. sounds like hes just catching a jab probably with his right and returning one back. pretty basic counter punch

    Yes, but Floyd gave it a name.

    It was either "pig-stick" or "pick-stick."

    This was right after he stopped Gatti. He was in studio with Brian Kenny.

    I just want to know what HE called it.

    In sparring last night on a couple of occasions I leaned right back to avoid a right hand, then countered with a straight right like Floyd. I don't think I got enough credit for it, the HBO commentators would have loved it
