The only way Floyd gets caught with any of those shots is if the opponent has better reach than Floyd. Zab had a 2 inch reach advantage. Mosley had a reach advantage. DeLaHoya had a reach advantage. Chop Chop had a reach advantage. You NEED the reach in order to tag him clean.

Donaire is also of the opinion that the shoulder-roll leaves you open for the straight left down the middle.

Mayweather has his high guard for occasions when the shoulder-roll is risky, though. He also has tremendous reflexes and quickness, to the point where it's very difficult to land consistently, regardless of what stance he happens to be using. I do think that the southpaw stance is a good bonus against him, though -- when you consider that Pac's best punch is definitely the straight left, it makes the match more interesting.

The Mistake that I see most Pac fans make is the fact that they are too focused on Floyd's defense. The biggest question on the night of the fight is not going to be about Floyd's defense but Manny's. How the hell is Manny going to deal with Floyd's offense. Remember Floyd does have the reach and height advantage and Floyd can fight tall for his height. Roach said that Floyd is just as fast if not faster than Manny. So to you Pac fans you need worry about that.
