your crazy bro! jMM was p4p #3 at the time. one of the best boxers/counter punchers in the game. so he moved up 2 weight classes, many have done that. U dont think DLH wouldnt have rasied in his hand high after beating Mosley?? Mosley was a p4p fighter moving up 2 weight classes too!

When the best fight the best then you just give respect. to this day JMM said HE'LL NEVER FIGHT MAYWEATHER AGAIN!! But fought Pac 4 times :lol:

It was a brilliant win for floyd...one of many brilliant wins, but this one stands out all the more because JMM was at his peak at #2 pfp in the world...and a lotta people felt he would win. The fact is, JMM was not a natural 135 lber. he belonged in the jr welterweight class...and floyd is barely a ww himself, so the size difference was insignificant. what made the difference was not size...it was technical proficiency and all-round talent. A lot of the hate on this thread goes back to the fact that manny lost to JMM practically everytime they fought.

And let me guess, if Usyk beat Andre Ward at Cruiserweight in a couple years, that'd be a career-defining win, too?

Bro if you think he lost because of weight then you just dont know boxing. JMM said it himself, "Mayweather is very smart and to good in the ring"

As I just said to Code Stickitinmya$$ you fools believe the BS that spills out of your mouth. Why not just eat your own ****.

JMM may of been P4P number 3 how is that even relevant to jumping 2 divisions to face one of if not the best BOXER in the sport. You are both re****ed and should be banned for your constant rubbish

You didn't really explain how it has 'continues to get better' (sic).

All you did was list a bunch of stuff that happened in the fight.

Are you saying that your appreciation for the fight has grown over the years? Or has some new evidence come to light that makes the win better (i.e - Floyd was shot in the eye by a bb gun the day before? something along those lines)?

If it's just your appreciation of the win that's fine, but you should state that somewhere in either the title or in the body of the argument.

dude, clearly he's saying that marquez has since proven his greatness with ko's of pacman and other impressive wins....and floyd beat him like a step-child. as time goes by, we see just how brilliant marquez has been over his career which makes floyds domination of him all the more impressive.

I think Floyd has slowed considerably since the JMM fight.
It was a great performance by Mayweather.

Yes because those extra pounds would have helped Marquez develop new skills in order to find a way to compete with Mayweather :-((

It's stupid to say mayweathers too big for marquez. You say that when you have a fighter who uses his size and strength against his opponent, floyd doesn't fight this way... he beat marquez on skills.

If that is the kind of bs fight you think is great then there is little hope to discuss the issue

dont understand why people seem to think the weight issue would have made a difference floyd dominates JMM at any weight and either ones prime

floyd came back after a long lay off and not to forget had to cancel the first fight with an injury EDIT - just see above MVC mentioned that

Even JMM himself has said there is no way he can beat floyd a true great warrior like Marquez admitting total defeat
