In fact, Ali was one of the most hated people in the country as he was controversial for his ties to NOI, militant leaders, and refusing induction to the service.

Ali represents one of the great PR turnarounds that ever existed. Time healed those wounds..but he was NEVER loved as an active fighter coming up, or in his prime. It was post career that people realized how special Ali was. Similarly to musicians and artists who are not appreciated until they are gone. Think Pac...as in 2Pac.

Pure specualtion, but I believe Mayweather has reached a level where people will look back and realize how the hate was unecessary and the talent and skills were among the best. The attitude of Floys is what solidified him as a "character"- someone with charisma to keep tabs on- be it for good or bad.

How can you say complete fighter? It is too much of a coincidence that all the guys he avoided for over ten years have one thing in common: They all have World Championship Knock Out Power. Everyone from Kosta Tszu, Cotto to Williams to Manny. He avoids every single one of those guys before he retired and again before he retires this year. To a lot of people it screams "Chin" issue. You can make a case that the Mosley fight was one of his toughest but Mosley is 39 and off for over a year and a half. There is just so little to see in his body of work against the elite at their prime.
He made a career of beating fighters that could not dominate World Class Talent. Outboxing fighters when you are supposed to is one thing but out boxing a Cotto,Manny a Williams is what would make him p4p #1. Since he has not proved that he will always be #2 at best.

FMJ would hang in ANY era. He may not be undefeated, but he would be ranked and hold titles in ANY era.

    Face facts.

Exacta you are a fool. He called out Kostya and even LARRY MERCHANT, the Hater OG, said there was no way that Kostya wanted any of that. Now if Larry "Hater OG" Merchant knows this why don't you?

    Kostya - Too small
    Cotto - Yeah right
Williams - Who WAS fighting him?
Manny - Take the test and get whooped like the rest.

Your argument is so full of holes it his horrible.

Please tell me the three most dangerous World Championship fighters who have knockout power that Floyd faced who were 30 years old or younger when they faced Mayweather?
