Floyd's hard power punches were the reason Pac was hesitant to throw.

Couldn't have said it better. When was the last time someone walked through Floyd's shots and went straight at him?

floyd is hesitant to fight the smaller, one armed man when he has faster footwork, better skill, and bigger. he just controlled the distance, jabbed, hugged, and ran to prevent a fight from happening. then when the game was over, he calls pac a coward.lol

floyd was indeed pathetic and he lost that fight. i dont think he would have won this fight with neutral honest judges elswhere in the world.

they hurt so much that they didn't even leave a cut or bruise on pacs face. devastating puncher that mayweather is, reminded me of canelo vs kirkland.

You score for effective aggression, not just aggression.

You can't score a round to someone just because they moved forward.

Pacquiao is a warrior, he has proved that many times over in his career. I just think his performance was a mix of him not having the ability to plough forward for three minutes of every round anymore and also his mentality these past few years.

As Pacquiao has aged and is not able to be the explosive, pressure fighter he once was, he has had to box more in recent years and fight more in spurts. This mind set that has set in meant that when he had to go for broke he just couldn't, mentally.

You also have to factor in that stupidly, Manny thought he was winning the fight so he probably felt that caution was the better option later on in the fight. Manny, like so many posters on here, obviously felt that just being aggressive, rather than effectively aggressive, is enough to win a fight.

I agree with you about Mayweather's power suprising Manny. Mayweather gets **** for being feather fisted, but he clearly has respectable power. He also demonstrated it early on. If you look at the fight, Mayweather's most consistent offensive part of the fight was in the first minute or two of round one. Right from the opening bell he took command of the centre of the ring and let a few good straight right hands go. This was a brilliant move on Mayweather's part as it let Pacquiao know straight from the off that, whilst he may not have KO power, he can still hurt opponents. Showing an opponent something they didn't expect so early in a fight is a great tactic.

Floyd's power is severely underrated. Pac was shook after the first round. He did not throw as much as he usually does because he was scared of getting KTFO, not because he "hurt" his shoulder (which is a BS excuse, by the way).

He showed he was a mentally weak quitter once he fought scared and made excuses...

Floyd never had Manny in trouble. Contrary, Manny had Floyd covering up and running throughout the fight.

Get a new past time LOL
