    Typical Mayweather answer

''Uhm I really couldn't say. It comes with the territory, you know, in the sport of boxing I'm truly blessed to be where I'm at. You must have done something right in your career to be in the position to axe me that question but where were you in 98 when I was world champion? Your cameraman has done a tremendous job, your sound guy has done a tremendous job and Floyd Mayweather is only human, I understand what it takes to answer when it comes to a question of this magnitude.'

He's 5-6 with short arms and no power. Tim's too tough for his own good he has to be protected from himself. He'd get murdered.

If Manny won, nobody would suggest he face Golovkin even if he called him out, I like Pacquiao a lot but Mayweather has always been held to a ridiculous standard, A because he is rarely challenged due to his pristine, infuriating but brilliant style and B. He's still officially undefeated even tho I believe he got beat in Castillo 1 and Maidana 1 was 115-113 either way imo. There's nobody left so they have to get creative to vent their fury.

If he beats Golovkin, which I doubt even if he took the fight, they'll say 1. why isn't he fighting Froch as super middleweight? 2. Pacquiao had one arm and would've won in 2009. 3. He's still ducking Khan and Brook 4. Margarito/Williams.

You can dissect and claim everything under the sun for every fighter, boxing is complex, boxing politics is complex... can't fight everybody.

I understand why some believe he should take the fight, if I ignore the 'The Best Ever', it's an almost farcical idea to fight Golovkin. But stranger things have happened, just look at Duran's rise up the weights, if you hold him to that standard, sure, say he's ''ducking'' Golovkin. Any fighter can make a higher weight, Jones Jr went up against Ruiz ffs but he wasn't obliged to by the fans, he simply desired it. We can say Mayweather doesn't have the ***** Bradley does or Jones or Duran but we can't say he's a chicken or ducking, it's just illogical.

Have you heard Mayweather try to read?
He is basically scripted, everything he says is a ready made answer.

So if they ask him a question he was unprepared for he just gives an answer that he is prepared for that he thinks is closest to the subject.

I do not find it irritating I actually find it embarrassing, Mayweather obviously does not trust his brain to engage and give a off the cuff answer.

Floyd has no obligation to fight GGG, even at a CW, he could, if he wishes to challenge himself even more and possibly shorten his life and health by a few years, but that is only optional, GGG is a career 160 lber, Floyd has never fought above 154, case closed

the way floyd talks and answers questions...would probably be alot different if it werent for alot of people who are exactly like alot of people on this forum

the type to criticize his every move and never really give him any credit....even the media was like this...guys like brian kenny back many years ago(hes since changed his way)..larry merchant and a host of others....even nobodies like rude jude and ra the rugged man who constantly poke at him with words.....this is what you get now....

i mean we have a whole legion of people who insist floyd ducked margarito...when bob arum confirmed that he agreed to fight him.....then when floyd didnt come back to work with top rank and started working with golden boy bob changed his tune and said floyd was afraid of him....and the losers yucked it up

How is this different than MOST athletes? It's obvious he was forced into boxing not school by his father at the age of 5. People act like boxers are well educated. Most fight for a reason. There are exceptions of course but these guy didn't choose this profession to get a diploma. And the obvious for the haters is Pac has about the same intelligence yet he's a congressman.

I've grown to like Tim Bradley over time.

I think this is his comment about what he believes fighters should be doing.

    Fighting.

"If all you high-dollar MFs are scared to fight GGG, I'm not."

Yup. No one needs to see what would happen, but there's a right message there.

(BTW, I think Canelo will be the one that doesn't dodge GGG when the dust settles with Cotto.)
