Read the article with unbiased eyes.

When I read it, it really comes off as if Floyd is intimidated. I know both sides of the nut hugging idiots will only read what they want to read in the article but there really are several things he says that seem different to me. Not changing my pick....but Floyd seems more worried about this fight than any other I can remember.

That was my initial reaction too! But, I thought I was just being sensitive and dropped it.

He sounded like he was either trying to reassure himself, or that he wants everyone to know exactly why he needs to be favored, lol.

Yeah agree. I have a high level of confidence Floyd wins this like 8-4 but his words make me think he doesn't believe it 100%.

The first 4 rounds will tell us everything. If Manny doesn't convincingly win at least 4 of the first 5 rounds then he has minimal chances as Floyd gets his confidence.

    Exactly^^^^^^

And what worries me is usually Floyd would be okay with giving away a few of the first 5 rounds to figure out an opponent's timing and rhythm because he has confidence in himself that he will figure them out, but I don't know if Floyd would okay with that against Pacquiao.

It may take him slightly longer than usual to get Pacquiao's timing down due to his awkwardness + speed, and if that's the case... I wonder if Floyd would start to freak out when he sees Pacquiao winning the first 4 rounds even though that's slightly normal for a Mayweather fight. Then if it's taking longer than normal and we are entering round 6, and Floyd still is struggling at getting his rhythm/timing... Floyd might start panicking if he really is uneasy about this opponent.

I could see him abandoning his entire game plan due to losing faith that he would eventually figure him out and just start trying to engage with Pacquiao.....which would be even worse.

Nah, Floyd probably doesn't look at anything beyond trusting his own ability and the Vegas betting odds. The odds say he's 2-1 favourite therefore in Floyd's mind he's twice as good and will win.

I didn't see anything out of the norm. Not sure what you guys read to give off that feel, seemed confident enough to me.

"I don't have anything bad to say about Bob Arum" was the strangest thing he said haha

When he was talking about timing he was probably talking about the increase in revenue. At one point he was looking at 50 mil and now its way more.

The interview tells me that he is more interested in being a business man than a boxer though.

I think I seen a major change in Pacquiao...I took my time, I made the right move, and I'm just ready to go out there and be exciting. "

"I'm happy that the fight is finally taking place. It's all about self-preservation."
