The fight was actually pretty good I thought Ortiz was coming on then it went south after the butt ..Im sure if the tables were turned and Floyd had been the one KO ed there would be fire works still going . Both guys played dirty but only one of them was more successful ..

"Protect yourself at all times". I agree. What Ortiz did was dirty as **** and he got what was coming to him.

Now....I will say this... Ortiz did A LOT better than I expected although Floyd was definitely in control. Ortiz landed A LOT of straight lefts and walk through ALL of Floyd's punches minus the two cheap shots that put Ortiz out.

Floyd got a little "get back"...and it wasn't fair, clean or honorable...but again...Ortiz started it with the headbutt.

Floyd didn't have to do it...but he did...I was disappointed in BOTH men simply because they cheated. The fans mostly by having to pay a damn grip to watch 4 rounds of good action when it was going to be 12.

I do believe Merchant at the end where Floyd avoided the interview to not have to talk about the PAC fight. He gave insight to who he was going to fight next and it looks like a rematch with ortiz.

Not that I don't want to see it.....but I REALLY want to see the PAC fight after this. Floyd will have a much more difficult time with someone like PAC but at the same time you see some of the difficulty PAC will see if he ever gets Floyd in the ring.

Not sure about the whole "killer instinct" ****.....Floyd would have beat Ortiz down for 8 more rounds if he had that kind of DNA. Floyd is an oportunitst and a calculated one at that. He knew what he was going to do and that was clear...Slomo was great.

Why are you going to that level?

It was an excellent performance by Mayweather, but that move was definitely unsportsmanlike.

He robbed the fans of letting the fight go to its natural conclusion.

Would Mayweather have won...probably, it looked like Ortiz was beggining to fade, but you can't in your heart say that was right.

I mean, at least be able to distinguish between the two.

A headbutt deserves a sucker punch.

You've never been in a fight in your life.

Let me ask you this, if that was Mayweather on the receiving end of that, would it have been right?

    Hell no...

If Ortiz sucker punched Mayweather, it is what it is...

It's a sucker punch. Was it legal within the rules? Probably...as far as I know, yes. Was it still a sucker punch?

    That's unquestionable.

If Holyfield had knocked out Tyson with a sucker punch you'd be complaining that Holyfield is unsportsmanlike.

Where were you when Bernard Hopkins was beating all those guys?

I've been in plenty of fights. (But ont as a professional boxer) Ortiz deserved to get sucker punched. Headbutting is against the rules. Sucker punches aren't.

And yes if Mayweather were trying to headbutt and he got sucker punched and knocked out I'd feel the same way. I'd also feel the same way if it were Ward or anyone else. If you decide to fight dirty, you can't hug and kiss your way out of it.

It's a fight goddamnit. You hurt your opponent you should expect payback. Punches aren't free. Any fighter with a fighters mentality knows that whether you fight professionally or not. If someone headbutts you or kicks you in the balls or makes you bleed, you'll find a way to hit them back.

If Ortiz wasn't expecting to get hit back he shouldn't be in the ring.

And when Bernard does that it IS cheap. You can call things like you SEE them.

There is nothing wrong with that.

You are becomming OBSESSED with a man. That's what it is. You're starting to worship a man if you can see he does no wrong.

    You're being manipulated.

If a man does something wrong, it's wrong. There is nothing right about it.

I learned to distinguish between the two when I was young, and I only worship one man...JESUS CHRIST. And Floyd ain't he...

Simply not true. Mayweather raised his hands and wanted to talk with Ortiz and then lured him in.............Mayweather cheated and ended the fight in an cowardly bar-assault performance as done every night in every town all over the world.....................:-(

those 2 punches may have been legal but those were certainly unsporting.

floyd's never been known to be a sportsman anyway.
