They probably both could have won but so did Floyd even if they stopped Oscar, he would have moments. Margarito has no speed and Cotto's defense well he was getting tagged all night by Marg and was just trading bombs with Mosley.

But you could argue pac absolutely crushed those opponents.

What it is to me is that if they fought today I would still give the edge to Mayweather because he is proven at these higher weights. Although I feel Pac is the better more accomplished fighter Mayweather is a naturally bigger guy at this point.

So to me if they fight the same or similar people at these weights Pacs wins are better because he is defying the odds and doing it in dominating fashion.

Oh no, we've already decided in this thread that how the fight was won doesn't matter.

yeah margarito has no speed but a fire fight with margarito is dangerous and if oscar tried to run he would drain energy quicker

imagine paul williams vs oscar lol

    a Win is a Win

I don't think Floyd can be called a cherry picker for fighting Oscar. You can't blame him for taking that big money fight, and DLH is a good fighter, it wasn't a no risk fight.

I think it's just that Floyd could make some fights happen that the fans want to see, but they never happen. It's frustrating.

Oh and the way fights are won does matter. Of course it does, if it didn't many rematches wouldn't ever happen.

Williams woulda crushed him but I had no idea Manny would carry the weight so well.

Pacs and Williams last three fights were more comparable to me.

I want to see him get a crack at the big dogs and see how he does with the elites from 47-60

Diaz and Baldomir are about the same.
    Slightly big but overly slow.
Both fought DLH for the money. But DLH was in a better spot in the FMJr fight.
Hatton was at a much better spot in the Pac fight.
I guarantee the Golden Boy Pro. has a stake in both fighters now.
Funny that I would also bet that Hatton will make $ of Pacs next fight.

yeah all the signs were there for pac but it was definitely a good win none the less...

kinda just like hatton i suppose....

paul will have to luck out to get some fights at 147, @ 154 he will have to be choosey because everyone will want to fight him.... at 160 he will have to be smart because some fights he could get & win but others would be not in his favor

Now Pac wants PBF or Mosely or Cotto...all bigger and favored to beat him.

    PBF wants JMM

Before the Wright fight I didn't see him having any real business at middle.
I felt even a ring rust Wright would do him in but he just dominated.

I see him giving all the guys some trouble at 160 I'm just not so sure how that chin would hold up against a banger.

When Oscar couldn't take out forbes it was obvious he wasn' what he was.
But Pac wasn't supposed to do that maybe a decision.

I was rooting for Pac but felt even a faded Oscar could take little Pac.
