Floyd wouldn't be nearly as brave against Pacquiao. Pac is a very different proposition to Ortiz. If Hatton, Mosley & Ortiz can land on Floyd, Pac will land some hurtful shots. This will make Mayweather much more defensive & wary which is also when Floyd's at his best

That is debatable. Floyd's timing is insane. He could get off and be out of there with his timing.

Well, the counterpoint to that would probably be that fighting this way leaves Floyd himself a bit more open but with his reach + accuracy I do ultimately agree with you that a shootout now actually favors him stylistically over Pac. If he had chin issues, it'd be one thing. I don't think Pacquiao is going to catch him with anything that can devastate him, and yeah - right hands will be landing like planes on a runway.

Nonsense, lesser fighters have hit Floyd with good hots, the old slow Mosley almost KO Floyd, Pacquiao is a different beast from the opponent's Floyd have fight , Pac throws much stronger faster punches from different angles, Pac is also quick on feet.

You don't need rhythm to hit Manny.

he can only do that if he picks his shots. fighting the way he fights ortiz and mosley would give pacquiao a bigger chance of hitting floyd. pacquiao unleashes several punches from angles at high workrate. and pac's power punch accuracy is one of the best in the sport.

Who said anything about a shootout? When have you ever seen Floyd in a shootout? Floyd's the most accurate boxer in the sport. Manny has the biggest head in the sport. It isn't difficult to ascertain that Floyd's lead right hand is gonna bounce off of Manny's noggin with much regularity. Now, I'm not saying that wins Floyd the fight, but I am saying that it's a given that this takes place.

Manny cant fight on the inside. Floyd would maul him and bust him up.

Shootout as in both throwing punches with their feet set. Mayweather's movement has decreased, but that shouldn't be an issue in this match-up. Pacquiao's swarming flurries on his hops inside are disruptive to movement, but can be timed and countered by someone standing still and waiting to spring a nasty surprise (like Floyd's right). Manny will literally be jumping into shots without his opponent needing to waste any energy on moving around. When that doesn't work he'll try to just plant his feet and throw a fast blur of power punches (as he does instinctively when he's caught clean; did it against Marquez and Margarito) and then even more right hands will cut straight through and land.

Pac's best punch to land on Floyd is that looping left hand he has. Other than that, I don't see much else being effective for him. Floyd will block most everything else. But, on the inside, I can see Manny landing that punch.

He cant throw it the same under pressure and pac will bring more pressure than Floyd has ever seen.

A good part of Roachs plan is to make floyd at a pace he cant deal with and not let him get any rhythm
