Mayweather vs Burton. That fight was exciting from beginning to end. Those combos mayweather was throwing reminded me on sugar ray leonard.
He has actually had quite a few exciting fights...I like Larry but honestly I find him the least balanced of all the really top level commentators that I have seen when it comes to demanding entertaining all action fights. For instance he often dogged out Naz for boaring fights, when clearly the guy was the most exciting thing to ever happen to the lower weight divisions. Anyways, back to my point, too many people buy into the whining about his non-competitive fights and think that makes him a boring or non-entertaining fighter....that's wrong...I would say for someone with as defensive a mind set he's one of the most aggressive, high contact fighters you'll see...the difference being that in his case the other guy usually can't lay a hand on him so his fights are very one sided. For me the wow factor makes this guy exciting to watch i.e. the things he can do in a ring while another man is trying to hurt him are very impressive. So even if a fight is one sided its always exciting watching him fights....He has had a couple of boring fights. But not many. What people should really be getting upset about is that too often he has chosen an easy fight when a harder fight was also on the table. There is no defending that; however, when someone like Larry Merchant gets mad at him for "being boring" he's really just venting cause he's angry floyd didn't chose a more competitive fight. If he was fair he would separate the two issues cause what happens is like minded fans...or ones don't know **** about boxing...go a long with that and say he's boring when in reality they're just bitter.
Oscar could only get a decision over an average sized giant like Shaq, Floyd Jr KTFO the great giant big show!
I love the Marquez fight. I know it wasn't a level playing field & JMM was at a big disadvantage but he couldnt lay a glove on Floyd all night. He completely schooled a top p4p guy, a total shut out. No other boxer around today could do that.
Probably the Burton fight, although I agree, the Chavez fight was also good. A side note, controversial, but I felt the Corrales fight was boring, too many lulls in the action imo.
