FLOYDS only flaw to me has always been his "pull counter"

    You really can't blame him

It worked very well vs Marquez/Mosley/Guerrero.

    Guys who were his size

When it works, it works beautifully. This is one of the other times I've ever seen it fail that badly.

But any shot could have resulted in that counter.

If he threw a right hand normally, it could have been countered too.

So you can't really say that he should take it out of his arsenal. It worked wonders b4 and it will work again, I guarantee you

It's worked for him for so long throughout his career, I don't think being countered a couple times makes it a flaw. It's done him way more good than bad.

Weaknesses as a fighter have always been his injury-prone hands and tendency to allow himself to get outworked at times, particularly on the ropes. He is an accurate puncher, but can be selective to a fault with his shots. Fortunately for him, no one has been able to take advantage of this enough to beat him, but it's certainly made fights tougher and closer than they could have been.

    Respectfully, I disagree.

Once you hit Floyd with a great shot - like Maidana did vs Floyd's pull overhand right - he rarely gives you the chance to do it again. He adjusts on the fly; alters his distances and can reset you.

Maidana and Garcia should have known this and should have altered their approach and try and create different openings for themselves.

I think this was the first time I have seen it look dangerous to use, but I think this is because he wasn't hurting MM at all, and he was willing to punch while getting punched (another reason why I feel floyd was over catious this fight)

But the pull counter is so good to watch, and you know its a judge pleaser.

Has to be my favorite punch in boxing.

Floyd BUCKLED Madaina on a dozen occasions last w/e and NEVER, not once, went in to see if he could do further damage.

Manny would wreck him. I can't wait til May. Be the first PPV Ive purchased since Cotto/Pac.

I don't care if it's a $100.......I'll have a keg that night, and the liquor cabinet and wine rack chiller will be stocked.....Probably set the price @ $10/cup, and $5/shot glass. Break even with 10 guests, whereas I'll have no less than 30. 5 bucks for standing room only. Think I'll even rehook the surround sound:lol::lol::lol:

must be drunk right now....forget the night they fight.

also don't think this a flaw at all....he uses it to negate jabs and does so very well....only fighter i can remember not letting it bother them and still fire their jab was Cotto...he did used to hook more to counter the jab at the lighter weights.

It's a technique that relies on reflexes and speed, which for an aging fighter is a risky move to pull off. Roy Jones Jr used to use a variant of it all the time. Clearly Mayweather is in decline, he isn't the fighter he used to be, he will need to make further adjustments to his style if he is to remain undefeated.

He needs to let that punch go.... It's the only chance someone has in middle of ring during exchanges

The only reason why Floyd looked like that after taking the punch was, he was going face first..

Just like how Pac went face first against JMM and GKFO..

Marcos was actually very intelligent and technical. He made adjustments and countered Floyd at times.

Floyd needs to learn how to fight on the inside. That is his flaw
