what the hell is such the big deal about his pad work? that seems more staged than dancing with the stars. rogers slams his hands at the same time floyd is tapping them. unreal. it is a joke. your supposed to hit the mits like your fighting, not like your spanking the dog for shitting on the carpet. Something to notice: Floyd spared 14 rounds when they showed it in episode 2 and he was puking his brains out. Hatton went 15 rounds on the body bag and dint even seem winded for going 15 rounds. everyone knows this fight is going a miniunium of 10 rounds. expect hatton to hammer the body. floyd's speed wont be as much of a factor. if ricky is consatantly coming forward and floyd is pot shoting and running away he is going to lose a lot of rounds.

I wouldn't take their mitt work into account when predicting the actual fight.

Mayweather's mitt work does not help him with his combinations or emulate the punches he would throw in an actual fight. He uses them to sharpen up his reflexes, timing, and to get everything in tune.

Mayweather's sparring sessions are what gets him prepared for the real fight moreso than the mitts.

floyd is coming to the invasion of normany with a pellet gun and a swiss army knife. if he is super duper clever, he wins. if not he is assinated. How can floyd keep hatton off him all night? hatton knows he cant be hurt by floyd. you hit the hits like your fighting, not taps. thats that going to do. do nascar drivers do practice laps at 55 mph? does alex rodriguez take batting practice in a cage with 60 mph pitching? no.

What's with this "how can Floyd keep Hatton off all night" stuff everyone is talking about? Ricky just jumps in without any defense or jab and is constantly open.. how the hell do you think Floyd is gonna keep him off? Move and punch, punch, and punch again. It's also funny how Hatton "knows he can't get hurt by Floyd", even though he remembers being hurt by featherfisted Collazo. The rest of your metaphors are just jokey.

It's interesting to see how more and more people are going for Hatton as the 24/7 episodes are airing. The same thing happened with the DLH fight. By the day of the fight almost 50% of posters were picking Oscar. But at least Oscar had some kind of a realistic chance. Hatton has none at all.

you would'nt be able to lift your hands above your head after 2 rounds of Roger working the mitts with you.

Floyd hits harder than you think. Oscar can take a punch, but wasn't willing to trade in the center of the ring. Round 5 his knees buckled from a counter on the ropes. There's a world of difference in boxing skill between Hatton and Collazo, watch the fight buddy.

it's all for show, hatton called him out on it on the last 24/7. both fighters have enough exposure that you don't have to watch promotional programs to try and figure out how the fight will play out. hatton will rush forward and floyd will circle & counter. by rd. 7 expect hatton to have been countered enough to get tentative from that point on, pbf cruises to a wide margin ud.

Its pretty stupid, Roger is tapping Frauds gloves with hiw mitts.

If Fraud were running away from Roger like a scared little girl it would be more realistic.

Excellent post! This guy has no idea as to how to breakdown a fight and he doesn't know PBF is a stylistic nightmare for Ricky.

I remember some of these same assholes talking about how Oscar looked so focused and was going to kick PBF ass because they bought into the 24/7 hype. You think people would have learned their lesson by now PBF by UD.:deal

Watching the Collazo fight and the Castillo fight (yes, the Castillo fight with the 4th round KO) make me tempted to pick Mayweather by late TKO.
