You could see it after the Hatton fight.

The rest is just a show for the media.

Why is he still acting like an arsehole then even though he says he's retired?

He's just a genuine class-A *****, the only thing I respect about him is his ability and that he seems to look out for his kids (not as much as he looks out for number 1 though)

Who knows what he is REALLY like behind closed doors?

My guess is that all the sides you see of him are just different parts of his personality.

Your asking for it here, mate.

I agree, although for me, a fighter's personality has very minimal to do with whether I like them or not. But for 90% of "boxing fans", it's very much about how they present themselves out of the ring.

It's their ability to fight and the way they fight which determines whether or not I'm a fan.

If you mean right after the fight in the ring, i just thought that was being nice because he was thinking about getting the fans on his side because he was thinking of becoming a promoter and retiring there and then. Not sure how much of a difference that would make, but that's how it came across to me.

Anyhow, even if it wasnt genuine, he isnt half the snake that Hatton has become!!!!!

EDIT= this is a reply to the first post.

Well his aresehole personality is the predominant one. Whats to say that his nice personality that shows up for 5 minutes after a fight(Ie every 6 months to a year) isn't his fake one?

Personally I couldnt care less. But its quite obvious his pre-fight persona is forced to sell tickets. Every interview you see with his family, friends even his friggin doctor show that he's not like that. People wanna hate him though, and personally I think that hate is good for the sport. It gets em to buy tickets.

Hatton is a snake? How so?

If you assume that Floyd just has a bad-guy on camera presense to drum up interest and that the glimpse of humility you saw after the Hatton fight is the "real Floyd," then you are gullible with a capital "G."

That is really giving Floyd the benefit of the doubt, especially considering all the bull**** he was spewing about racist HBO (Who made him rich and put him on a pedistal "24/7." Floyd is an a-hole. His father is an a-hole. His uncle is an a-hole. What's more, he'll always be an a-hole. There are good boxers in this world who have the intelligence and class to conduct themselves with dignity and respect outside and inside the ring. Why would you give such an obvious douchebag a pass. What has he done for you, besided hand-pick opponents and charge for every boring fight?

Wanna know the real Floyd? What's the first thing you think of? His mouth open and **** coming out of it? Bingo. That's Floyd.

And yes, that's how I REALLY feel.

Who cares?, what matters is in the ring and that's where he shows some serious skills. Even the haters can't deny it and go for desperate stuff to pick on.

Lol, are you gonna start crying? Did he hurt your feelings that much? I've known family and friends that have met Floyd in real life, and he is quite approachable and will chat with you.

I care, I like fighters with nice personalities and who are humanitarians like Ray Robinson, Jake LaMotta, Ray Leonard, Sonny Liston, Mike Tyson, and my all-time favorite, Carlos Monzon.

    So true.

Name any real popular (or great) fighter, and I'm sure there's something that can be brought up. E.g. Dela Hoya - Transvestite. Whitaker - coke head.

Once again, a fighters personality has little to do with whether or not a real boxing fan should like them or not... It's their ability to fight, and the way they fight.
