He is going to beat the P4P number 2 in the world and get no credit beacause of the weight issues. Why does he do this? He beat Hatton and got no credit, evreyone fully knowing he was a bloated light welter. Why not fight a quick tuneup and then Mosley. Or Williams. Or a man of his size which actually adds something to his legacy, not something with a question mark next to it.

Yeah but we boxing fans know it isnt as good as Mosley, Margarito, Cotto or Williams. hell id rather have Berto, at least he's proved and fought at this weight.

The old Marquez, the more techinal one who didn't mind not pressingg the action and was purely a counter puncher would do better. PBF would be forced to pressure him. Marquez changed after the John fight. Guess he didn't like flying that far away to get robbed for $32 thousand. So he made his style more exciting for Showtime etc

So you think it's better that he fight some no-name, no hoper and then Mosley instead of Marquez and then Mosley? I don't know if you realize this, but a lot of writers and fans are excited about this fight.

I think Marquez is just as good of a resume builder as Mosley and a lot better than a Paul Williams or any of those new guys who aren't established. No matter who Floyd fights, he won't get credit.

It was the same with Roy Jones Jr when he was in his prime. These guys are 2 of the best fighters of all-time, but haters want to tear them apart because their opponents can't.

...ok... do a poll, see who on here thinks that Marquez is a better fight for 'Moneys' resume than Williams... his legacy is tainted due him being seen to cherry pick smaller fighters when he's supposedly an nailed on ATG welter / 'top 20 all time great'... what is picking a fight with someone who has campaigned at >130 - even >125 for the vast majority of his career going to prove?

you make no sense when you say he's screwing up his resume by fighting marquez and that he should fight a TUNE UP instead
