He didnt get credit for beating hatton? thats news to me. All the bright folks were heart broken. besides what diffrence do it make if floyd fought hatton at 147? he came in the ring at 152 saturday

He'll get credit....just not right away. You know how things go. A few yrs down the road most will just notice the name "Juan Manuel Marquez" on his resume and show the he won. But you're right.....it means far less when you factor in JMM age, legit wieght class and the fact he's MOVING Up 1 and a half divisions to face the best pure boxer in the last 15-20 yrs. Floyd is a great boxer...no doubt. I will also give the man credit as being extremely smart about how he manages his career.

Unlike many people I give huge credit to Floyd for beating Judah, Hatton and if he beats Marquez. Those are solid fighters on his resume whom he fought/will fight then they are on top of their games.\

For those who think Marquez is much smaller than Floyd, look here:

Like I have been telling long before this matchup were even talked about, JMM is no small guy. He is like the Bernard Hopkins of the lower weights. He chose to stay longer at 126 when Pac, Barrera, Morales all chose to move up. But JMM was already at 126 when Barrera, Morales and Pac were all fighting in the lower weights.

JMM has visibly bigger body frame than Pac when they fought.

  9. This IS his tune up fight!!!

Ok, Marquez beat Pac twice. Marquez and Pacquiao are the same size. Marquez is too small for Floyd and Pac is not. Marquez knocked out two guys who has been never knocked out before in a tremendous bout. Pac beat faded Oscar and over the hill Hatton.

Pics dont mean much if you put Caballero next to those two you wouldnt say he was the smaller than them would you?

JMM is smaller than Mayweather and even Floyd said it.

JMM fought @ sub 130 for almost the entierity of his career, mayweather has been rolling @ 147 for years now - if you knew your sports science you'd know that perhaps Marquez can put on some weight/muscle in a few months but it wont have the 'muscle maturity' that moneys will have and will not pack anywhere near the same amount of tourque per lb. Power wise, this is a massive miss match

The 135 JMM is indeed smaller than the 147 Floyd if that is what he meant :patsch

Hatton said Pacquiao is smaller than him too. I seem to miss that part when they were fighting and I have watched their fight about 20 times now.
