The title of this thread is probably the biggest diss you could give out to a fighter, especially in this day and age of prize fighting.

As much as I would like to see floyd lose, he is a great defensive fighter and is very quick and elusive. I would love to see a style and dimension clash with williams though.

There are alot of great matchups for floyd but he doesnt want them right now, Now, instead of attacking him and calling him a fraud, I will just say that if floyd wants to spend time with his family like he claims, that is one thing, but if he sits around and says none of the welterweight contenders have proven themselves enough to fight him, that is balogne because there are some serious matchups that await him.

Floyd haters like myself have to be realistic in that floyd cant fight everyone of the legit contenders in cotto, williams, cintron, mosley, margarito and whoever else we could debate is worthy of a title shot, to fight all those guys in a row would put anyone in retirement but I personally think floyd needs to give boxing a couple more great fights with the previously listed before he hangs up the gloves.

WHile I do agree with everyones points to an xtent. But we have to all be realistic. Everyone in this world does something for the love of it and money, and more times money outweighs the love. When people take up sports you think there 1st thought is I want to be the best just to be the best, no they want to be the best so they can get the best money thats out there. SO in that regards you cant fault floyd.

From a fans standpoint I wanna see him fight the best out there, but if we were in his shoes, (mind u this isnt basketball or something) this is boxing we would probably do the same thing. WHy would you fight some1 that could potentially beat you, when you can fight another opponent who is less risk for more money. again i understand wat people say about Floyd, b/c dont get me wrong i do want 2 see him fight Cotto, and inevitbaly clean out the WW division. But 9x's outta 10 if we , or any of those great fighters from abck in the day was in floyds shoes they would probably do the same thing, and you cant front on that

I think he does, and rightly so.
He's got a family, and if he didnt use his god given talent to create for them the best life possible, he'd be letting them down.

Im quite sure he no longer loves boxing, but does it for the mega bucks he earns, and the adulation, and IMHO, thats two of the best reasons I can think of.

I don't even dislike Hatton, I just deal in brutal honesty whether people like it or not.

Floyd knows Cotto would be his toughest fight and his only real threat b/c he he knows what Cotto brings to the table. Floyd and camp never ever said anything bad about Cotto but he was not a big draw. I doubt Cotto/FLoyd would do Hatton/Floyd or ODH/Floyd #s. If Cotto had a personality that would make a big 24-7 impact he would fight him no question. Cotto is the highest risk low reward fighter. Floyd didnt plan on fighting hatton. Hatton ran his mouth and got knocked out like he should of 2 years ago at 140. Floyd fighting a well conditioned ODH that was in the best shape he has been in for the last 4-5 years. I DARE ANYONE TO SHOW ME OTHERWISE. Against Sturm ODH was a fat ******* and had a gut with a girdle. Same with B-hop and he was competitive early but he did not have the power in his arm punches to keep Bhop honest. He knocked Mayorga the **** out in better fashion then tito. Mayorga is not easy to KO by no means. He was in OK shape. For the floyd fight ODH had more stamina then he had in a long time and that was a handicapped fight. Name a welter besides Cotto that would for sure beat ODH. You guys are a bunch of jokes as Amsterdam as well. Talking about the path to least resistance and he is a Calzaghe fan...lol....thats the path to NO resistance..Kessler....Lacy....who.....bueller....bueller...in a 10+ career that AINT ****. Struggling with Baika a contender finalist.

Cotto wouldn't draw big numbers and against Floyd?

Cotto, Williams, Mosely I'd take over DLH. Then I'd take anywhere around 5-8 LMW's over DLH. This is of course if the bouts are contested at 154.

It's not like the WW division is as stacked as people think it is -

Floyd, Cotto, Mosely, Williams - These are the top 4 at WW, the rest are really not that great, guys like Clottey and Margarito.

Floyd simply does not want to fight the best guys, he wants the easy route to money and 'legacy' as he see's it.

Well, what does Calzaghe have to do with anything?:yep

Calzaghe is good for boxing, he's skilled, exciting, likable and willing to fight the best guys in his weight range.:yep

It's nice as a Calzaghe fan to know that he has the 'most impressive win of 2007'.

Struggle with Jose Luis Castillo at LW. Twice. That doesn't sound very convincing for a so called P4P best of the generation considering LW was a great weight for Junior.
