THe 168 weight class was the weakest in boxing for the last 8 years How impressive...He fought the fight of his life against ****ing Reid. AVERAGE. He also got worked by Baika and he didnt do **** in that fight. He beat Lacy and Kessler. Kessler is a one dimensional ****ing robot that throws the same one two over and over and over. Calzaghe is a ****ing joke. His resume is a joke. His reign is a joke. Calzaghe has struggled with multiple C level fighters and been put on his ass a few times by the same C level bums...No ATG been through that.

Ah, but you see, he fought a **** fight against Reid because he thought he was going to just stop him mid rounds and be done with him, hand injury, blow your load = trouble against a tricky counter puncher. Joe fights to his level of competition generally, Floyd prepares for every fight like he's going into the undisputed championship, not comparable.

The 168 division had been underrated for years. Bika didn't come even close to beating Joe and you're dealing with a version of Calzaghe that didn't even spar in preparation for the fight.

Kessler is one of the best fighters in the world today, from 154-175, p4p and h2h I only rate Calzaghe and possibly Dawson as superior to him and I think I'd pick him to beat Dawson.

Not many people claim Calzaghe is a cemented 'ATG', they just claim he's great and one of the best of this generation. However, Calzaghe likely becomes a high ranking ATG when it's all said and done if he feels more comfortable making weight at 175 and sticks around for 3 more meaningful fights.

Meanwhile, Pacquaio, the 1 dimensional overrated phenom, is about to get his ass handed to him by Marquez this time and Mayweather, if he chooses to actually take on a ****ing challenge this time in Cotto, will likely lose.

And at that end result, who is going to be considered the best of this generation?:rofl

It's more likely that Calzaghe beats the challenges in front of him if the fights happen, than Pac, Mayweather and several others.

Oh, wouldn't that just be a hilarious wrap up to this era.

When I drove by the truck on the highway, I had to laugh. That must've been one serious boxing fan who hated the f*ck out of Mayweather, to paint this in HUGE black letters on the back of an 18 wheeler!!

Perhaps you prefer amatuer boxing where the fighters don't get money. Only trophies, and medals.
Or maybe you prefer the old days of proffesional boxing when everybody but the fighters got paid.
Well this is a new day.
Boxing is a big business. Someone is gonna get paid regardless.
It may as well be the guys in their risking their lives, and well being.
Why do you think Ricky Hatton took the Mayweather fight.
HE knew he couldn't beat the p4p best fighter in the world at Welter when he struggles at Welter.
He took the fight for the money.
    That's what it's all about.
If you don';t like money you can do your job for free, But don't expect everyone to look at it that way.

Did I actually see someone mention the Castillo fight again?

Why does struggling with Castillo make Floyd less of a fighter? Castillo at certain times in his career has been a pretty damn good fighter.

Every fighter has struggled with people before!! No fighter can adjust easily to EVERY style.

Personally I think Floyd's fights with Castillo ELEVATE my opinion of him. He had a hard time with a guy, had to fight a different fight than he wante to. He is given the nod on a controversial decision and immediately goes for the rematch. If Floyd had not given a rematch I can see people still complaining about this one, but Floyd gave him a rematch. And in the rematch, Floyd won clearly (though stylistically, it was still a tough fight).

And furthermore, Floyd has obviously improved a lot since then.

I'm no Floyd fan - I'll just leave it at that. I admire his skill and he is a great boxer.......but I cannot stand the ****.
