    Or Ortiz and Cotto.

Or Corley (one sided offensive display, like the Gatti fight).

Or Hatton (underrated in entertainment value, this was a good battle).

Oh I did. When Floyd dominated Artuto Gatti, I wa a fan of Floyd. I was impressed with what he was able to do, but reality is, Gatti was a shot fighter by then. He got the fight by beating Jesse James Leija who miraculously put himself into the mix and landed the fight with Gatti because he upsetted the very talented but undisciplined Panchito Bojado.

Maidana who? The Maidana who almost got KTFO by Ortiz, who got badly hurt against Josesito, who almost lost to a shot Morales!!, who lost to Alexander, and Khan?

Maidana is very deserving of a Floyd fought, after all he was the first one to beat the Great Broner (officially) because DPDL, FQ had already tapped that ass. :deal

The point you were trying to make is that "Floyd stunk up the place since 135". We provided you with examples of how that is untrue. Yes Floyd is most comfortable with a pot shot, defensive style. But he has shown great versatility in lots of his fights and has been able to turn up the pace when he needs to such as the first Maidana fight.

Against a no defense, former B level, shot opponent like Arturo Gatti Mayweather will look spectacular if he opts out from using his shoulder roll, or his pot-shots.

Against a B level fighter in his prime he will look like utter sh!t not using his pot-shots like he did against Maidana in the first fight. :deal

Maidana sucks bro. Lost to Khan, Alexander, nearly lost to a shot Morales and Ortiz.

Cotto and Hatton fights were also entertaining. And do you admit you were wrong when you said that every fight since 135 Floyd "stunk up the place"?

Obviously it was an exaggeration. But seriously, even Mayweather's exciting fights look/stink like sh!t drying under the hot sun.

If you want to see exciting fights look up JCC, Duran, Morales, Barrera, Hearns, Hagler, Trinidad etc...

Yeah I agree. He's just not that type of fighter though, same as Sweet Pea. I don't like his style personally either, but I've learned that you can't really blame a fighter for fighting in their preferred style. That being said in the Pac fight he could have definitely done more, thrown more.

it is just good on paper. for newbies in the sport, it's will not be interesting. he has no career defining fight that is better than the fab 4 and mini fab 4. it might be useful for the amateurs if they don't want to get hurt in the hurt sport.

Agreed on the Pac fight. There was no excuse for Mayweather to fight the way he did with a fight of this magnitude. It's almost as if he went in to try and KO Pac in the first 2 rounds, but as soon as Pac landed that punch that sent him to the ropes, he was his old self again, hugging and running.

As for Pernell Whitaker, if you think his style is boring watch some of his other fights, especially against Jose Luis Ramirez. That is how you fight another great fighter, not by running.

From the fans perspective sure. But I don't see Mayweather caring too much about that. He just is used to his style and doesn't see a reason to change it in many fights. It's all personal taste though different People like different styles of boxers.
