he ducked both fighters. margo, pac, mosley and cotto all fought each other and the only one floyd fought was Mosley's old ass. I'm sorry man but as talented as Mayweather is, his legacy will be stained with ducks and dodges.

Floyd is going to be a top 30 atg after he ****s Pacquiao up and Cotto will be praying to make the HOF while Margarito will be forever remembered as the guy who used plaster

Why is it all the fighters Floyd has supposedly ducked are under ARUM?

For me it most has to do with Floyd vs Arum than Floyd ducking ARUMS fighters. Evident to whats happening now between the negotiations for Floyd/Pac.

^^ I hate when people do this. Two can play that game. I got money on me making more sense.

Retrospect is nice for those who like to craft history. But at the time of their fights:

Ortiz- #2 welterweight (due to Floyd's inactivity); young, hot off a tremendous win, weighed 164 lbs in the ring

    Mosley- P4P #3; power punching #1 welterweight

JMM- P4P #2; would go on to score an extremely good "defeat" win against Pacquiao two years later weighing the exact same

Hatton- P4P #6; undefeated; had one good, even fight at 147

de la Hoya- 34 years old; 4-1 at the junior middle limit

Baldomir- lineal champion at 147; hadn't lost a fight in 8 years

Judah- coming off loss, which is the one fight removed from his being the defending lineal champion at 147

Mitchell- tune-up first fight at 147; Sharmba had only one real fight at the weight

Gatti- going into their fight halfway through 2005, Gatti was ranked #1 by The Ring at 140; people say he was washed up but on paper the only better fight for Mayweather at this time was Tszyu

    Bruseles- waste of time

Corley- ranked #6 by The Ring going into the 2004 where Mayweather beat him; one SD loss to Judah removed from his three fight title reign

That is his resume from 140 up.

This does not include his P4P enhancing stop at lightweight to claim the lineal title there.

And more importantly, we have not gotten started on his epic run down at 130, where he is one of the very best ever at that weight.

Also, his list of 5 worst performances/losses/draws, which we must consider when ranking ones' legacy and feats, begins and ends with a close UD victory over Castillo, which he redeemed ASAP via re-match with a more decisive victory.

Don't be a fool and let his personality affect one iota of your judgement. Floyd = ATG and the best fighter of the past 15 years.

  11. I wish FLoyd woud have faced Cotto circa 2008. Career win if it happened.
Cotto great fighter but Floyd would have put on a clinic versus Mig.

Whose better in that span? Seriously.

Pacquiao and Hopkins are options you could throw out without being deserved of getting shot.
