Ok this has nothing to do with the final outcome but more to do with styles and the amount of work / effort it took Floyd to take control. Here are mine in no particular order. Castillo 1. Burton. Cotto. Hatton. Maidana / Chavez (unsure on this one as I think Chavez pushed harder but couldn't sustain it.) What are yours?
Nice list! I'd take off Hatton and keep Maidana I and Chavez. It was a spirited performance by Ricky (especially in the first half,) but Floyd was well ahead on the scorecards before the time of the knockout. Still, those were all tough fights for Mayweather Jr.
How do you have Castillo 2 up there (which floyd clearly won) but not Castillo 1 which was a controversial fight.
1. Jose Luis Castillo 1 (close loss) 2. Marcos Maidana 1 (draw or 115-113 either side) 3. Oscar De La Hoya - 116 -112 imo 4. Jesus Chavez - stoppage 5. Miguel Cotto 116-112 imo
Always felt the 1st fight is only close if you give both pt deduction rds to Castillo, and the 2nd was actually closer just my opinion though.
