I've heard alot of people say Hatton gave Mayweather his toughest fight. I disagree. I'm not the one in the ring so I don't know for sure. Hatton made Floyd unconfortable in some situations, but he wasn't landing any clean shots. I had Hatton winning only 1 round before he got stopped.

Other people will bring up the names of Castillo and DLH when talking about Floyd's toughest fights. However, these guys were winning rounds due to Floyd's inactivity rather than landing alot of clean shots of their own. IMO, Emmanuel Augustus gave Floyd his toughest fight. Although Floyd won every round and eventually stopped him in the 9th, Augustus made him earn every round. Augustus landed alot of good shots in that fight and busted up Floyd's nose. Unfortunately for Augustus, he just didn't have the talent to win the fight, and took too many clean shots.

    Thoughts?

I agree...the Augustus fight goes unnoticed, but it was a tough fight for Floyd. He was obviosuly the better man, but it wasn't a walk in the park. Second comes the first Castillo fight.

The Hatton fight is probably top 6 or 7

DLH is my pick. Augustus?, come on man, that fight was one-sided and damn brutal.

Castillo was his toughest. The DLH fight was to plain boring for it to be his toughest.

The young floyd was having more fun with agustus than the older floyd was having with hatton. By far

PBF always says that Augustus gave him his hardest fight.

It was one sided, but Augustus was landing alot of good punches, he really made Floyd work. DLH did not make Floyd work. Floyd was in a comfort zone the whole time, Oscar hardly landed any good punches, and resorted to stealing rounds with flurries that did no damage. I respect everyone's opinion, but to me, Augustus made Floyd work the hardest.

Castillo beat him though the first time. Castillo had great head movement and was always very smart. Underrated fighter

Up until the KO, Hatton was definitely his toughest fight. Floyd has never been taken out of his fight like he was last night.

It may be worth adding Judah's name to this poll. Sure, most thought Floyd clearly won by the end, but at times Zab really did look in control especially in the early rounds. Zab also got what most considered a legitimate KD too.
