    Floyd could win maybe 3 or 4 rounds out of 15. Those would mainly be the ones Gregorio tells DeJesus to rest.

    Who did Dejesus beat that was as good as Floyd at 135?

    (Both Dejesus and Duran were above the 135 limit for the first fight)

    How exactly do you see DeJesus pulling that off though? For that matter, what advantages does he have to negate Floyd's reach and height advantages?

    It would be a much sterner test for Mayweather than anyone
    he faced at lightweight and lower. Actually it would be the
    toughest test of his career at any weight if Dejesus
    is prime.
    Mayweather Jr. should win a close dec.
    But I wouldn't bet my life on it. Yes Dejesus was
    just that good.

    I rate Dejesus very highly, but he was on the smaller end at Lightweight (and would be small for Superfeather in Floyd's era). His reflexes are almost as good as Floyd's, and his hands and feet can keep up with him. But a bigger, longer, somewhat faster counterpuncher is nightmare matchup for another counterpuncher. That said, Dejesus was very difficult to outpoint over 10-12 rounds in his prime. Floyd close-ish UD. Floyd might even win 9 rounds, but all of them would be really, really close.

    Two different levels of fighter. Floyd wins comfortably. 9-3 type of deal. And it has nothing to do with size, Floyd was more talented.

    I know, my eyes almost bugged out when i saw that statement. DeJesus had one of the most relaxed styles ever.

    wonderful fighter but i'm not sure he did anything better than floyd.

    I like his offense a lot. 2 handed offense and can hit from very unconventional angles. Not that it would win him the fight, but that's a skill too. Also has a better lunging left hook than Mayweather did.

    As much as I dislike Fairweather he has the upper hand here. Way too many physical and skill advantages.

    However, De Jesus is not exactly a bum, so he will make things interesting and have a real fighting chance.

    I would go 70 - 30 advantage Fairweather
