How would you define the difference between them?

When I think of a combination, it is specific punches followng each other in a sequence, with varying speed and power, and good technique... When I think of a flurry, it is just letting your hands go as fast as possible for about 8-10 punches and not worrying so much about technique or power.

a combination is a series of punches throwing properly. generally the punches follow on from one to the other through transference of body weight etc...

a flurry i smore just a quick salvo of punches and generally lasts abit longer than a combo
