I'm traveling SE Asia from August-November, and upon finding out about Pac-Rios fight in Macau, I'm about to make amendments on the dates so I can catch Pac fight live before he retires (it'll also be my first live boxing event).

But what I really need to know is how much the tickets will be? I don't have a lot of money so I'm hoping I can pick up tickets for around $70-$90 US dollars.
How realistic is this price range?

I would imagine that is reasonable considering SE Asia, but to be safe save 200-300 to get some good seats, have some time to save.. Also get them the day it comes out!

Will definitely get them as soon as they come out. 200-300 is stretching my budget considering I'll be traveling for 3 months prior to the fight.

I heard PPV is gonna be $4-6 in China so I'm hoping the tickets will be priced reasonably cheap as well.

Chinese don't care much about Pac and I doubt they're into Rios either. I imagine it will not be difficult to get a seat. Not sure why anyone from that region would care to see another boxing match after that ShoeZu stinker Top Rank promoted.

For Zou Shimings debut I think tickets started at around $30 or so and went up to $200-300 for ringside tickets.

If you are coming from South East Asia, you are best off flying to Hong Kong and taking the ferry to Macau. Though Air Asia do flights directly from Vietnam. Hotels can set you back about $50 but you can probably find them much cheaper if you book in advance.

Casinos are free to enter so there is plenty to see.

Certainly not the case, international sporting events are very popular. The UFC sold like hot cakes! Most the people going to these events will be British, American and Canadian Chinese from Hong Kong and the hoards of foreign expats

Wow, that's pretty darn cheap tickets considering how big the event was. Will be traveling from Vietnam so will see what the cheapest route is.

Are you serious? Did you watch the event? Whole arena was packed and buzzing, even for the undercards. Every clean punch that landed was followed by "ooo's" and "aah's".

    The Chinese love their fighting.

Same. I'll be very pissed if it gets delayed.

    Thanks!

I'm not American, though wish I lived there sometimes to catch all the great fights.

  14. Why not pop over to the Philippines when he is training in Baguio City as well.
