Who wins this fight at 112 pounds?

Pongsaklek Wonjongkam (age 34) is the WBC and Ring Magazine Flyweight champion from Thailand. His record is 80(44)-3-1.

Between 1996 and 2007. Wonjongkam won 55 consecutive fights, including winning the WBU flyweight title against Mzukisi Sikali (TKO1), winng the WBC flyweight belt from Malcolm Tunacao (TKO1), scoring the fastest KO in flyweight history against Daisuke Naito (34 seconds) and beating him in a rematch (TD7) setting the record for most tile defences (16) against Monelisi Mhikiza Myekeni (UD12). He lost the title in his third fight with Nanito (UD12). A fourth fight ended in a draw. In 2009 he defeated Julio Cesar Miranda to win the interim WBC belt and then won the Flyweight title upsetting Koki Kameda by majority decision. His last fight was against Pakasit Twins Gym in which he won by TKO in the first round

    His fight with Kameda:

Giovani Segura (age 29) is the current Ring light flyweight champion and a former WBA and WBO beltholder from Mexico. The Ring also rates him as number 8 in the pound for pound list and has a record of 28(24)-1-1.

His solitary loss against Cesar Canchila was avenged in a rematch in 2009 in which Segura claimed the interim WBA title by TKO4. He was elevated to full champion later in the year and made 3 successful defences then faced undefeated Ivan Calderon in a unification match. Segura won by 8th round KO (in the Ring magazine fight of the year for 2010) and also beat Calderon by 3rd round KO in a rematch earlier this year. He won his last fight by TKO1 against overmatched Eddy Zuniga.

Before I made this thread I thought that Segura would easily win. However when I was looking at Wonjongkam's record, I realised how impressive it is. However I still think he may be getting a little long in the tooth now and Segura is somewhat of a demon. I like Segura in this and I think he'd become the 1st person to stop the Thai since 1996.

My gut says Wonjongkam will take it, but Segura is a big guy for 112 pounds. He may just be too big.

I enjoy watching Giovanni Segura and think that within a couple years, he will dominate Flyweight.

Agreed. I think he should fight Gonzalzez, Hernan Marquez, Wonjongkam (at Flyweight) and Hugo Fidel Cazares (at Junior banty) before moving to the talent rich bantamweight division (he's big enough) where prodigious talents such as Donaire, Mares, Agbeko, Moreno, Darchinyan etc reside

only in todays boxing era can we have hypothetical dream fights, that actually could happen, we just know they wont...so we have to guess.... we will base it off Pongs title challengers that are 14-4-1 on how he matches up with a mexican crusher like segura

I think Segura and Wonjongkam would both be keen for it, problem would be which country they fight in.

Segura is god-awful. Just speaks to the complete lack of quality at the lower weights these days that he's become the force he has. Wonjongkam's best days are long in the past now, unfortunately, so it wouldn't surprise me to see him ground down. Then again I wouldn't be surprised if he won, either.
